Bob Iger — Disney executive chairman and former CEO — is one of 70 individuals joining a business recovery task force for California.
Bob Iger was named to the task force by California Governor Gavin Newsom along with Apple CEO Tim Cook and four former state governors including Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others.
The primary goal of the task force is to “help California residents recover as fast as possible from the economic hardships” stemming from the current global situation, as more than three million residents of the state have filed for unemployment. The task force is set to meet twice a month throughout 2020.
The announcement of this task force comes following the new federal guidelines that were issued on April 17th, and you can read more about those guidelines here.
