With Disney World closed and stay-at-home orders in place, we’re sure you’ve been getting A LOT of family time.
While there have been some pretty fun ways to bond with your fam (anybody want to build a life-size Olaf out of toilet paper rolls??), your quality time has just gotten extended if you live in Florida!
Sorry, parents! It looks like your kiddos will be at home with you for the rest of the semester. According to WESH 2 News, Governor Ron DeSantis has stated that all Florida schools will remained closed through the rest of the school year.
Florida schools and universities have been closed since March and transferred to an online learning format. Since school will not be back in session (in person, that is), students are expected to continue their courses virtually.
However, the governor is also planning to gradually reopen businesses, beaches, and parks soon. We will keep you up to date with any more news here at DFB!

As someone from the Northeast watching what Florida’s governor has done, or should I say not done, about the spread of COVID-19 I rather surprised that he is closing schools. What I’m NOT surprised about is that he is considering opening businesses so soon. I don’t know what political party he belongs to but I hope Floridians remember this when election time comes. He’s more concerned about business than he is people. Get him out of office.
