Alright, when we’re not in the parks, we’re hanging out in our kitchens a lot. Maybe we’re stress-baking, or maybe we’re mixing up cocktails to pair with our Disney+ binge. THIS IS HOW WE RELAX.
Well, we’ve got some good news today! Our next home-cooking endeavor is one so colossal and SO SWEET! We’re taking a look at how to recreate some absolutely iconic and truly epic Disney World ice cream sundaes at home. So if you have a sweet tooth (like, a really big one), get ready to jump in!
Kitchen Sink Sundae from Beaches and Cream
Obvi, if you’re looking for epic Disney sundaes, the first place you go is Beaches and Cream to order the Kitchen Sink. This is a truly MASSIVE sundae that serves 4+ people, so if you’re making it, then it will definitely count as dessert for the whole family. Alternatively, just make a smaller size and chow down on your own! Your kitchen, YOUR rules!
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
Now, to make the Kitchen Sink you’re going to need vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Load a bowl up with a scoop of each (or more if you’re going for authentic) then top it with EVERY TOPPING YOU HAVE.
At Beaches and Cream this thing can come loaded with brownies, pound cake slices, Oreos, peanut butter and chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, peanut butter sauce, caramel sauce, candy bars, pineapple, banana, gummies, chocolate shavings, nuts, maraschino cherries, and AN ENTIRE CAN OF WHIPPED CREAM.
We’ll be honest, to make this bad boy, you don’t have to go as hard as they do in Disney. Just pick up a few of your favorite toppings and toss them on there. If you want to bake some brownies to throw in, that’s even better. Plus, they tend to serve this mega-treat in a sink at Disney. We don’t necessarily recommend serving your at-home version in your kitchen sink… but you know what? Your kitchen, your rules!

No Way Jose from Beaches and Cream
Next up, we’ve got another make-at-home suggestion from Beaches and Cream, but this one isn’t quite as overwhelming. It’s the No Way Jose, which is hands-down one of our favorite ice-cream treats in Disney World.
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
To make the No Way Jose at home, you’ll need peanut butter, hot fudge, chocolate and vanilla ice cream, peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and a cherry. We’re already drooling just thinking about it.
Pro tip! We promise they don’t just spoon a bunch of PB into the sundae at Beaches and Cream. Instead, they use a peanut butter sauce! You can whip up a sauce version of your fave nut butter with just four ingredients. Combine peanut butter, heavy whipping cream, brown sugar, and light corn syrup in a saucepan over low heat. Wait for the mixture to reduce, and it’s time for that NO WAY JOSE!

Donut Sundae from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Over in Magic Kingdom, there’s a pretty to-die-for sundae you can sometimes find at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. It’s the Donut Sundae (!!!). Yeah, you heard us! And yes, you can make this delish treat in your very own home.
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
All you need is a warm glazed donut, warm apple compote, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and a cherry. Now, most of those things you can snag at your local grocery store but the DONUT is the most important ingredient. You should make sure you’re getting a good one. Grab a few donuts from your favorite local drive-through. If you want to get closer to Disney’s, the donut they serve is really close to a Krispy Kreme classic.
If you can’t make it to the store, there’s a pretty easy way to make donuts at home! Pick up a roll of biscuit dough next time you make a grocery run. Pull the dough apart into individual biscuits and pull a hole in the center with your finger. Then, heat some oil in a pan and pan-fry the biscuit rings, flipping when they’re golden! We like to roll these delicious treats in sugar, but they’d be good with just the ice cream and toppings too!

Earthquake Sundae from Ghirardelli Soda Fountain
Moving on, we’ve got another one of those HUGE challenge sundaes; this one’s from Ghirardelli Soda Fountain! At Ghirardelli, sometimes you can snag the Earthquake Sundae. Like the Kitchen Sink, this dessert serves 4+ but you can make a smaller size if you’re just trying to get your sweet fix.
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
You’ll need your favorite flavors of ice cream, your favorite toppings, banana, whipped cream, diced almonds, Ghirardelli Mini Dark Chocolate Chips, and cherries. Technically, the OG sundae in Disney Springs comes with eight scoops of ice cream and eight toppings, but you can dial that back if you need to. Just don’t forget the FUDGE SAUCE.

Mickey and Minnie Waffle Sundae from Sleepy Hollow
We’ve got a sundae based on a seriously ICONIC Disney snack for yah next. You gotta whip up a home version of the Mickey and Minnie Waffle Sundae that used to be available at Sleepy Hollow. Mickey waffles AND ice cream??? How are you not racing to your kitchen yet???
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
To make this sundae, you’ll need two Mickey Waffles, vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry. Now, we know what you’re thinking, “Where are you going to find Mickey Waffles at a time like this???” Well, calm down and we’ll tell you!
You have a few options if you want to whip up some Mickey Waffles. You’re probably going to want to grab the EXACT waffle mix that they use to make Mickey’s waffle-face in Disney World and you can find that with Golden Malted Waffle Mix. Then you can follow our super-easy guide to making these iconic snacks in your kitchen!

Sand Pail from Happy Landings Ice Cream
Typhoon Lagoon’s very own shareable sundae is up next! It’s time to learn how to make the Sand Pail from Happy Landings Ice Cream. This is another one that you’re going to want to get the whole fam involved to tackle, especially if you want to fill up a real sand pail with ice-creamy goodness!
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
Before you make your Sand Pail, your gonna need to stock up on chocolate and vanilla ice cream, waffle cone pieces, Oreo cookie pieces, sprinkles, hot fudge, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry. The ice cream at Happy Landings is soft serve, so if you want it to be authentic, let your ice cream soften a little before serving!
The best thing about this sundae is that it comes served in a sand pail with a sand shovel spoon. Yeah, it’s adorable and your kids will love it. If you’ve got a sand pail at home, give it a good wash! Once it’s squeaky clean (and you’ve made sure there aren’t any holes in the bottom), it could be super fun to serve you sundae in it!

Beignet Sundae from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
Beignets? Check. Ice cream. Check. If you’re asking, you know the answer — yes you SHOULD make a Mickey Beignet Sundae at home! How could you not love it? Mickey Beignets even got to the final TWO of our Snack Madness Bracket!
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
All you need for this sundae is three beignets, your choice of ice cream, and your choice of sauce! We like vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce! You BET we’ve got a solution for not having beignets on hand too! Follow the same trick with biscuit dough that we suggested for the donuts (just don’t poke a hole in them 😉) or, for a holiday twist, check out our Mickey Gingerbread Beignet recipe!

Ten Gallon Challenge Sundae from Whispering Canyon Cafe
Last but certainly not least, we’re tackling the TEN. GALLON. CHALLENGE. This sundae isn’t actually ten gallons, but it IS SHAREABLE. Plus, it’s usually served in a ten-gallon cowboy hat. We don’t recommend whipping out your own hat as an ice cream bowl, but you can at least wear it while you prepare the cowboy sundae of your dreams.
The Ingredients You’ll Need:
For the Ten Gallon Challenge, combine vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Then top it with pineapple sauce (fresh pineapple is a good alternative!), strawberry sauce, caramel sauce, a whole piece of apple pie, two cupcakes, whipped cream, brownies, sugar cookies, banana, Oreos, toasted marshmallows, chocolate-covered bacon, and cherries. Your grocery store cashier is going to be so inspired by this cart-full.
You’ll need some luck acquiring all the ingredients and even MORE to finish the sundae. Like all the shareables on this list though — YOU have the power. Scale that baby down if you want the same crazy flavors without the bellyache.
Yes. We’ve done it. Click here to see what happened when we ordered the Ten Gallon Challenge!

I really want to make the peanut butter sauce you mentioned! Could you share how much of each ingredient I should use???
DFB Sarah says
Becky, you can just melt peanut butter in the microwave. Try a few seconds at a time because it can over-cook.
TerryAH says
Whatever happened to the Mickey pants sundae? I’ve always wanted to get one and I don’t see them anywhere now. I found an old photo that showed both the Mickey pants sundae and a Minnie themed one about the same size. Are either of these available anywhere?
DFB Sarah says
TerryAH, they’ve been available at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in Magic Kingdom!
