A prominent member of Disney’s team has just been added to the Re-Open Florida Task Force Executive Committee.
Given how important theme parks are to Florida’s economy, we weren’t surprised to see some representation from Disney (and Universal) on this list.
Orlando Business Journal reported that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis held a conference call today with members of the Re-Open Florida Task Force Executive Committee to discuss the re-opening of Florida’s economy. The task force includes 22 businesspeople and state leaders, including several theme park executives. Josh D’Amaro, president of Walt Disney World Resort, has been appointed to the task force as one of the representatives for Central Florida.
Josh Sprouls, CEO of Universal Orlando Resort and executive vice president of Universal Parks & Resorts is also included on the task force. We’ll keep an eye out for any information produced from these meetings and we’ll keep you posted!
