Times right now are a little hectic as we’re all staying at home and…not going to Disney World. Since the Disney Parks around the world are closed and the Disney Cruise Line is canceling sailings, we’ve honestly just been comforting ourselves by watching a LOT of Disney+ and doing some Disney stress-baking.
With everything happening, it’s pretty important to take a deep breath and find a moment to relax. And, we might just have the PERFECT way to center yourself and find your zen while you visit Disney World (virtually, of course!).
If you’ve ever been up at the crack of dawn on a Disney vacation (probably for those Rise of the Resistance boarding passes), you may have noticed that Disney’s sunrises are actually pretty magical. And, thanks to our reader Ashley Fasso, we’re able to take you to the resorts, cruise ships, and even the islands with her Disney Sunrise Series!
So, sit back with a cup of coffee or tea, a blanket, and comfy clothes (yes, we mean your pajamas or sweatpants you haven’t stopped wearing!) while you watch some of the most peaceful Disney moments we’ve ever seen.
Beach Club Resort
The Beach Club Resort is a stunning spot to dive into Stormalong Bay’s sand bottom pool, walk along the beach, or even grab a drink to cool off. But, we have to say that the Marina has never looked better than with the pink and orange hues lighting up the sky in the background of the lighthouse!
The Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Tower
We’re totally missing those early mornings at Chef Mickey’s (and ALL the Mickey Waffles) at the Contemporary! Before you make your own breakfast à la Disney style, you can relax and look at a quiet Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower before the hustle and bustle of a day in Disney World.
Vero Beach Resort
We’re going on a trip to the beach!! Vero Beach is a Disney Vacation Club resort, and one of the best places in Florida to kick back, get a tan, or build a sandcastle with the fam. And, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is definitely just as beautiful as the Florida sunrise itself!
Aulani Resort
The Hawaiian sun is ready to greet you with a big “aloha” straight from the Aulani Resort. You can make your way around the resort to spot the lazy river (!!!), clear blue water, and even all the lush greenery and wildlife while you watch the sun rise over the island.
Disney Fantasy
Disney Cruises can be a BLAST with the Sail-Away parties, awesome kids’ clubs, and themed nights (who else here has a designated Pirate’s Night costume??). But, there’s just something especially calming about a quiet ship in the early morning hours as you look out over the ocean on the Disney Fantasy.

Nine years ago, I rode the resort monorail on a pair of round trips around the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Wow! What a gem of a find. I’ve only watched one so far but plan to watch the rest. Very well done! The Beach Club video (only one watched so far) is comprehensive in capturing the resort to bring it to me. She uniquely isolates nooks, serenity, visions , maintenance efforts and moments that make it so special to be at this resort. Thank you for sharing this gold.
