As the global health crisis continues, a lot of aspects of the tourism industry have been pretty touch and go.
Perhaps one of the most affected types of travel has been cruise ships. Disney Cruise Line has been taking it day by day in deciding when to further sailing cancellations. A few days ago, there was an extension for suspensions across the whole cruise line and now the Disney is extending an offer to guests originally scheduled on one of the canceled sailings and who chose to move their sail date previously.
Disney’s policy for canceled sailings has thus far been that those affected will receive a 125% cruise credit for use on a future cruise within 15 months of their original sail date or a full refund. Guests who have concerns about their upcoming cruises have also been given the option to move their sail date without change fees.
Guests who opted to move their cruise before cancellations may be concerned that they will miss out on the 25% cruise credit, but now Disney Cruise Line has adapted their policy to extend the additional future cruise credit of 25% to guests who were ORIGINALLY scheduled to sail on the Disney Dream or Disney Fantasy between May 17th and June 18th or on the Disney Magic from June 7th to July 2nd as those sailings have now been canceled.
According to the updated policy, “Once the modified reservation is paid in full, any remaining future cruise credit will be applied to their shipboard account as a non-refundable onboard credit. If the guests’ circumstances have changed and they would now like to cancel the reservation they modified, they may do so for a full refund of the original voyage fare they paid.”
If this offer applies to you, you may book online or reach out to the DCL Reservation team id you need to. To do so, call 1-866-325-2112 or 407-566-3510.
