Recently, Disneyland and Disney World shared that they would not be accepting new bookings until July. Since then, Disney World’s Senior VP has clarified that reservation availability does not indicate park reopening.
And while we recently reported guests with Disney World and Disneyland Resort with hotel reservations through the end of May were being notified that their bookings had been canceled, now Disney is reaching out to notify guests that their early June reservations are being canceled as well.
Disney is currently sending out messages to guests with arrival dates in early June with instructions to “modify or cancel their Disney Resort hotel reservations or Walt Disney Travel Company packages.” We received notification this morning regarding a Disney World reservation we had booked with an arrival date of June 1st. One of our readers has also shared that their June 6-11 reservation has been canceled.
Disney is waiving all cancellation and re-booking fees for guests affected by the closures. But if guests choose to not take action, Disney will automatically cancel and refund any hotel bookings.
For assistance with your booking, you can contact Disney’s Customer Support at (407) 934-7639. Or, you can cancel your reservation through the My Disney Experience app or Disneyland’s online cancellation portal.

*sob* Now I just wait with dread for the email cancelling our June 6th vacation. As if all this mess hasn’t screwed up my son’s senior year enough; this was our last hope for salvaging something wonderful to celebrate his graduation.

Our first trip was scheduled for April 15. We rescheduled for June 1. We have now had two cancellations. We have now re-booked for November 1. First cancellation we were offered free dining. This time we were told to look for deals in the fall. Not very happy that our trip is now going to cost us almost $800 more.
Thank you for all of your hard work AJ!

I’ve seen multiple posts in different facebook groups from guests who had their late June trips cancelled, too.

Has this been confirmed? There is no date on this notice. They haven’t canceled mine for that same time period and they are still taking reservations.

We had a June 8 – 12 reservation and did not receive a notice to cancel. We cancelled anyway but were told they were only cancelling trips through 6/6 starting time. We also have a June 15 – 19 trip scheduled and was told there was no decision on those dates so were left the reservation intact.
