We’ve been sharing with you what it’s like at Disney Springs now that its phased reopening is underway.
And while STK Orlando was one of the first third-party restaurants we learned would be reopening on May 20th, we stopped by to see what service was like today with its new safety guidelines in place.
We hope you’ve saved some room after our MANY dining escapades at The Boathouse, Wine Bar George, and a bunch of places at Disney Springs today ’cause it’s time to see what’s sizzlin’ at STK.
Reservations and Seating
We made our reservation on OpenTable for 2PM this afternoon. STK has extensive indoor and outdoor seating including a ground-level patio and rooftop bar.
Today, STK was only offering seating outside. UPDATE: You can sit inside, but it tends to fill quickly.
Menu
STK had a reduced menu. They were offering a smaller-than-usual lunch menu with only three options listed.
STK’s dinner menu is also available all day, but many items on their standard dinner menu weren’t available.
At the bottom of the disposable paper menu, we noticed STK was selling dinner packages to-go! Most of the meals included a 6 oz. steak, sauce, and two sides.
STK’s bar menu including cocktails, bottled beer, and wine sold by the bottle or the glass appeared as extensive as we remembered it.
We ordered STK’s Signature Ribeye Sandwich for $19 and sat back while our food was prepared!
Service and Food
We noticed right away that everyone had gloves on, and tables were constantly be sanitized around us while linen tablecloths were being changed out after every guest. When our food arrived, it looked extra-yummy — even though we’d already had a lot to eat by this point of our day!
It was a really good quality sandwich, though — perfectly seasoned steak served on toasted buttery bread. Our only complaint was maybe we could’ve used more meat and cheese to go with all that bread which was plentiful.
The beef au jus, horseradish sauce, and ketchup were all included with the Ribeye Sandwich, but our server suggested we get the STK bold sauce for $2.
We’re glad he did because he was right — it tasted like an even more awesome A1 steak sauce to us!
Payment
At the end of the meal, we were presented with the bill and provided with our own card reader. STK informed us that these were a new way that they would be processing payments.
This gave us the ability to swipe our own credit card instead of handing it off to our server.
Overall
Overall, our food was wonderful and the employees were visibly implementing their new safety procedures. We’re not going to lie though, we dined here for lunch and since seating was only be offered outside, we were really hot. So, if STK decided to continue only offering outdoor seating, you may want to dine earlier in the day or in the evening. UPDATE: Seating is now available inside as well.
