Walt Disney World Resort has proposed a reopening date to Florida’s Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force starting on July 11th for Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, and July 15th for Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

Among the many safety measures mentioned in the proposal, limited guest capacity is mentioned. And in order to help implement that, Disney is planning to utilize a guest theme park reservation system.
Though details have not yet been announced regarding the reservation system, it’s worth noting that a limited guest capacity measure has already been implemented in Shanghai Disneyland, with guests required to purchase a ticket for a specific date in advance, and Annual Passholders likewise required to secure a reservation.

We will continue to keep you informed on these and other proposed measures as this story develops. As a reminder, Walt Disney World (as well as SeaWorld) just made its reopening proposal today — at press time, the proposal has not yet been approved.

If I can’t buy park tickets directly through Disney, can I buy them through a third party? I’ve checked and I can but will I be at an disadvantage when it comes to the reservation system? What are your thoughts?
I see Florida requires people coming into state from NJ , NY , CT to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival .
How can that be managed , any thoughts ?
Very disappointed in this re opening plan. We were scheduled to arrive July 9 and be there through 14th. We would have had two days with no parks and 3 days with only two parks. Why not just open and let the patrons make their on decision on weather to come or not. We had to cancel because it was not worth the cost.

I just noticed the park hours in July. It will be 100 degrees during that time. Is there anyway Disney would consider opening earlier or staying open til 9 so that we would have some time that’s not in the heat of the day.?
Still waiting for the details to come in. Need to buy a new, non-park hopper ticket for my son and I have no idea what I’m going do with his existing park hopper…no plans to go back down there before it’s expiration.
A hint – you cannot book Disney hotels, but you can go to Marriott and book the Swan and Dolphin, if you want to be sure you have a reservation. After booking, copy the confirmation number and link the hotel reservation via My Disney Experience. Be sure to note cancellation policies.
Brian why can’t you just use the existing park hopper ticket that you already have? You don’t need to change parks to use it?
We purchase park tickets at Shades of Green, upon arrival. How do we coordinate if we don’t know what days we will be able to get for park tickets? Plus coordinate dinner reservations.
We will just wait, between all of that plus not being able to see fireworks, a part of the magic for us, maybe waiting a year or so will be better.
When will the park reservation system be up and running for those who have reservations coming up and we already have park tickets?
