This year, many Disney World trips have been turned upside down a bit due to closures and cancellations.
And although Disney World is gearing up to reopen its theme parks come July, it appears that the cancellations are NOT over.
The Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic typically coincides with Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival and was set to take place on November 6-7, 2020.
Today, we noticed that tickets were currently unavailable for the event. After seeing this, we called the resort to see if this was a glitch or if the event had been postponed or canceled due to the current health situation.
After talking with an employee, we were informed that the 2020 Food and Wine Classic has been canceled and that the resort plans to host it again in 2021. We do want to mention that at this time, we have not heard anything regarding Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival.
The Swan and Dolphin will be hosting MLS for its upcoming tournament and will begin accepting new reservations on July 30th. We will continue to keep you updated on this situation and we will let you know if anything changes.

We always try to attend the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival and HAVE ALWAYS made certain that we make it to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival for the years we have afforded to be able to do so.
While we do have reservations at Swan/Dolphin late Oct/Nov 2020, we have wondered if not both the Swan/Dolphin Event, as well as the Food and Wine Festival, may not happen this year.
It would seem that the cancelation of the Swan/Dolphin Causeway Event, is a good indicator of safety over fun. WDW would have announced fun things for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival by now, so it will come as no surprise if it is not meant to happen this year, either.
Again, safety of all people, is key., and the very most important thing in life, are lives.
Does it makes us heartbroken to think of a year without it? YES, it does, but we respect, and we love all of the hotels and resorts, and WDW for taking into consideration, all the people in every walk of life, under every condition and uncertainly…as uppermost in importance.
We are sure missing Walt Disney World.
Let’s have hope, look out for each other, and look forward to better times ahead.

1st we canceled going to Disney world and staying in the Grand Floridian for our week long family reunion of 35 people because they were going to make us wear masks in the Florida weather. And now they are canceling the food and wine festival. Is there really a good reason to go to Disney world anymore?

Matt, just to clarify — the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has not been cancelled or confirmed at this point. Only the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic has been cancelled. But, of course, that’s leading a lot of people to wonder what will happen with the EPCOT Festival. We will update!
