Disney World has been canceling hotel, dining reservations, the Disney Dining Plan, AND FastPasses in preparation for the theme parks reopening in July.

While Disneyland is projected to open in July and Shanghai Disneyland is already open again, many other theme parks and resorts around the world don’t have a timeline just yet for reopening. Despite the uncertainty of when Disney Parks and Resorts will welcome guests again, Disney has announced that the Walt Disney Travel Company will not be offering air transportation packages starting in 2021.
The airline packages for Disney World, Disneyland, and Aulani, including consumer-direct and third-party bookings, will not be offered for arrivals beginning in 2021. However, Disney will honor existing airline reservations and allow guests to make new airline bookings through the rest of 2020.

We’ve booked direct with Disney for April 2021, but when we booked it was too early for flights (we’re coming from the UK), does this mean we can’t add flights now?

Will Magical Express still run from Orlando airport to the Disney World Resorts in 2021? My sist and I are going to Disney World in September 2021.
Laura, I’m not sure there’s any way to know things that far out, but Magical Express is going to be available beginning June 22 when the DVC Resorts begin reopening.
Sara, no, this is not expected to affect Magical Express.
Helen, I’m not sure how this will impact international travel. It may well be that you have to reserve a flight separately. You could try contacting Disney for confirmation.
Do we have any ideas as to when Disney will release 2021 packages in general? I’m planning on booking a trip for October 2021 and I’ve checked the Disney site everyday this month looking to book a reservation but it still only goes til December of this year 🙁
Melissa, I, too, was looking for 2021 dates earlier this spring. Based on what I found, reservations online aren’t typically released until mid-way through the year prior to your potential trip dates. So I was looking for fall 2021, and I wouldn’t be able to see packages until June 2020 (based on when packages released online in 2019). Disney reservations told me (back in early-March) that I could book a room 500 days out — but only by calling. Otherwise I’d have to wait until packages appeared online. This year, as we all know too well, things are really uncertain. We’re waiting on the new reservation system, at which point maybe we’ll get some changes to access online. We will post when the 2021 dates are available online.

Spoken to Walt Disney travel Company international today and confirmed from UK they will/are still doing flight packages and in 2021, it only affects customers in USA.
Airport travel? Do you mean magical express or is this something different altogether?

Amanda, this does not mean Disney’s Magical Express. It means vacation packages for which Disney would, in the past, also be able to include airfare.
