Disney has made some calls about what to expect in the months following the park reopenings.
We just got some serious clarification for the future of Disney World’s 2020 special events. To our delight, the 2020 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will occur, but in a new form — A Taste of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Unfortunately, one popular offering will not be available; the Eat to the Beat Concert Series has been canceled.
Eat to the Beat Concerts are extremely popular and typically draw large crowds. In the interest of physical distancing and the safety of guests, performers, and Cast Members; Disney has announced that they will not be hosting these concerts this year.
They have, however, introduced a replacement. Local Epcot entertainment like Mariachi Cobre, the JAMMitors, and more will be performing at the America Garden Theatre in lieu of the concert series. Performances will be spread out over the course of the day so that guests have more of an opportunity to see them.
We will be learning a lot more about what a reopened Disney World will look like in the coming days — especially with the reopening of some Disney World resort hotels on June 22nd. Keep an eye on DFB for all of the latest updates and tips to navigating Disney’s new normal.

bring back off kilter and mo’roccan and Bloos sweat and Shears if they haven’t burned those bridges. THAT would bring in some guests big time

Yes, to Off Kilter. They were at Epcot for so long they have probably moved on out of town. Way back in 2004 when our daughter got married in Orlando, they also appeared at the hotel we were all staying at in Maitland. I believe then the hotel was called Hotel Orlando North possibly. It’s something else now. We always loved Off Kilter and were very surprised to see them performing at the hotel our entire family was staying at for the wedding. Also, that group The British Invasion that performed at Epcot for so long also appeared one night in Winter Park off of Corinne Drive (Ave) and our son-in-law’s stepmother from India was visiting so we all went. The place was very small where they performed and so crowded, but we all had a fabulous time. I believe this was in 2011 or 2012 as I remember us all taking our grandsons with us that were only babies and taking turns holding each of them while listening to the great music.
