Disney World’s theme parks will officially begin to reopen to guests on July 11th.
At this time, all hotel and ticket sales have been placed on hold as Disney rolls out their brand new reservation system. But now, we have a HUGE update for guests looking to book a 2021 trip. Disney World 2021 bookings are scheduled to begin on June 28th.
Disney just announced that all guests will be able to purchase new Disney Resort hotel packages and theme park tickets and make their theme park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021. These bookings open on June 28th.
Keep in mind that guests will be able to see theme park reservation availability before booking their trip. You don’t have to worry about purchasing a ticket package only to find out that you won’t be able to get into the theme park that day.
Stay tuned to DFB for all the latest updates on 2021 (and 2020!) bookings for Disney World. We’ll keep you updated!

H i- I know you all are extremely busy and may have missed some questions on this feed. I asked before but I will ask again. I have “room only“ reservations for this November 2020. Two people in my party do not have their park tickets yet. Will I be able to contact Disney on June 24 to possibly upgrade to a package for tickets for those two people in my party? I’m confused about what you can do on that date and just how Disney is handling folks who have a room reservation for this year 2020 but no tickets. Thank you.
DFB Sarah says
Arlene, I expect that’s exactly right, yes. 🙂
Arlene says
Thanks again Sarah! That makes me feel better. I’ve been getting a little nervous wondering if any park reservations will be left by the time we get to purchase tickets.

Hi Sarah, I was wondering , I am making reservations for next May to celebrate my 50th birthday. What I want to know is, I’m bring my parents with me and staying the whole day at the park is too much for my parents, who are joining me on the trip.
Thank you,
Mary Matousch
DFB Sarah says
Mary, hi! It sounds like what you’re wondering about is whether being in the Park all day might be too much and whether you’ll be able to leave so they can rest. If that’s what you’re wondering, we feel confident now that guests can come and go from the Park they’ve reserved for any given day using the new Disney Park Pass. Let me know if I can help further!

What time on June 28 can we purchase tickets online? Is it starting at midnight, or 7am when the phone lines open? Which route do you recommend to get tickets?! Also, if your guest is currently 2, but will be 3 by the time we go, do I include them in my reservations? Currently I see that it says not to include anyone in your reservation who isn’t 3, but didn’t know if they meant now or will be under 3 at the time of visit (I hope that makes sense). Thanks!
Michelle says
How much are tickets for 2021 adult and under 10? We would likely do 5 days. Thanks!
Vicki says
I have DVC reservations for January but no tickets. I understand that I can buy tickets tomorrow 6/28 and then link them and reserve parks (along with many thousands of others). Any idea what time ticket sales begin? I’ve looked everywhere and found nothing.
DFB Sarah says
Vicki, reservations usually open at 7AM, but on Friday when APs could make their DPP, the system was up by 630AM. Unfortunately Disney hasn’t said for sure what time the system will be live.
DFB Sarah says
Michelle, I think include someone who will be three when you visit. (I made new plans for 2021 the other day, and I had to include my two-year-old who will be three by then.) Disney hasn’t released a time for when reservations will be live, unfortunately. I think online might be the most efficient way (assuming the system works).
