Disney World’s new Park Pass Reservation System was set to go live this morning and should now be open to guests with existing hotel reservations.
Today, ONLY guests with existing tickets and hotel reservations can make a park pass reservation. Annual Passholders WITHOUT a resort stay can make reservations starting June 26th. Then on June 28th, existing ticket holders can make reservations. But, this morning is off to a VERY bumpy start, people.
The Disney World website seemed SUPER-glitchy this morning, leaving a lot of folks waiting while the Seven Dwarfs are “working on it!”
We had multiple team members trying to access the Park Pass System for several hours this morning, and all of them were still experiencing technical difficulties for over an hour — even while other guests were reporting that they’d already gotten their park passes. We keep seeing Stitch “eating” a lot of webpages this morning!

But here’s a little interesting thing we spotted — on this Cinderella Castle error page, you can see they’ve changed its color to pink to reflect its new makeover!
At least we had that little moment of excitement to tide us over while we wait to snag our Disney World Park Passes!
At around 9AM ET, many other guests had already reported getting through to the system, and were giving advice on various social media channels and message forums on how they did it. Usually this included getting to the system via a workaround. At this time many guests still were not able to get into the system.
What finally worked for us was closing all of our current web pages, googling a Disney Springs restaurant, and making a dining reservation, which finally allowed us to actually log-in to our accounts. (Previously, any time we’d tried to log-in to our accounts we had been taken to the “castle waiting” page OR we’d been told that our passwords weren’t valid — something that had also been reported by many of our readers and social media followers.)
Once we’d logged in by making our dining reservation, we were able to click over to the Park Pass page and finally were given the opportunity to make our park passes. For each of our team members this took various amounts of time — some were able to do the workaround easily, but others were timed out several times and had to try the workaround multiple times.
Once we were into the actual system, things were smoother. But we’ve heard at least one report from a reader saying that while making park passes for other family members, the system is telling them that a park pass “limit” has been reached. We’d love to hear your experiences in the comments below!

Did you experience any issues with Disney’s new Park Pass Reservation System this morning? Let us know in the comments below!
Ally says
When I go to the “Disney Park Pass System” area, it just shows information and doesn’t allow me to make reservations. Is there somewhere else I should be going?
River says
I honestly appreciate this update so much. I’ve been staring at this screen since 3:50am (PT) thinking I must be doing something wrong. Thank you for your work!
Lauren says
I went on at 6 am central time and tried on a phone and laptop. Neither worked mainly because they don’t even have a system to make the reservation. It says coming soon.
Jordan says
Not sure why but it’s not letting me book anything from 1st November onwards.
Laura Evans says
Still waiting for parks page to open .I have hotel at Caribbean beach for July 15 I saw they are not opening until the 29th😳no contact from Disney. Do you know what they are doing or if we will have a place to stay?
KraftyKouponer says
Been seeing the castle page for the last Hour…I did go to my PLAN page once but the page looked incomplete, no menu drop down only my plans were visible. And you couldnt nagivate through the page so you were forced to go back to main screen which meant back to the castle…
LC says
They should have tiered this based on when your reservation is for- like people with July-Sept reservations today, Oct-December tomorrow, or something. You would think they’d know there was no way the website could handle everyone with hotel reservations and tickets logging on at one time. I can only imagine what it’s going to be like when they open it to all pass holders…
Sara says
been trying for over an hour to make park reservations…no luck 🙁
Allison says
Right there with you! And the busy signals when calling. Chat is down too.
Cory Souliere says
Been stuck on the castle waiting page since 7am!!!
Angela says
Yes! Stuck “admiring” the castle here as well! It’s a relief to hear from you that it’s not just me!
Nicole says
Sure did! Set my alarm for 6:30am and was on right at 7….never got through; wasn’t working right from the start. Even loading the initial site was slow. Totally bummed right now. Hope it works later today.
Kristen says
I got it after waiting for at least 45 minutes! I got all the days of our vacation starting on September 26 and were able to get park passes even for the days after the 26th!
Michelle C. says
I think the better question is did anyone NOT have problems getting a reservation! Yikes… I have to say it’s worse than I expected, but not surprising. 🙁
DFB Sarah says
Nicole, we’ll update once it’s up!
DFB Sarah says
Laura, you should reach out to Disney to see about switching to a Resort that’s open, if it’s possible.
DFB Sarah says
Ally, we don’t know exactly which page is going to have the reservation system. Probably My Plans or the Disney Park Pass page. We’re still waiting, too!
Tina says
I got on for a second, but wasn’t sure where to go once I got on. Any ideas on where to start this process?
DONALD HARPER says
Disney should have been prepared for the onslaught of calls that they knew would be coming. Already had to go through the hoops of replanning once already after a May trip got cancelled. Then they cancel Dining Plans, reservations and FP. Getting ridiculous and ready to throw up my hands and say ENOUGH!!! Maybe consider going back once they get it together and it is Disney again. Every line and circuit busy, website down and just one frustration after another. Bye Disney!!
Alyssa says
I’ve seen a few posts elsewhere that people have talked to actual CMs, and they are reporting the system isn’t even up and running yet. The theme seems to be “hoping for later today, so keep checking back”.
Shayne says
Finally got past the castle to an actual sign in page, but when I click “Sign In” it thinks about it for a few seconds and then nothing happens. I have managed to get onto a page from the phone app that says “We’re almost in orbit” with a Space Mountain image. It started counting down an approximate wait time from 11:00, which increased :30 about once every minute. I eventually made it down to 3:00 but then it updated itself again to 15:00.
I’ve never figured out why a company as large as Disney has always been so terrible at this — consistent problems with the website and the app. Can’t get through to anyone on the phone. It’s like it was a total surprise to them that all these people logged on at 7am today to make their park reservations.
Virginia says
Hi , been starring at the castle since 7am -ugh !
I knew this was going to happen .
Disney should also have anticipated it
Will keep trying , good luck everyone !
Lauren says
Now I have a message that says, “We’re Almost in Orbit” and it had a wait time. Anyone else?
Kristine Brown says
No luck getting into system — I have been watching a PINK castle for 1 hr and 43 minutes
Cheryl says
I’m on the We’re Almost in Orbit page for the last 30 min. The countdown goes down a min. then back up 30 seconds. Says I have 1:30 left.
Cory Souliere says
I went from being in orbit for 15 minutes, when the timer ended it took me to the castle just now at 8:43am. Now waiting again.
Bill Meunier says
Does anyone have a timer page that counts down from 15 minutes for a wait time?
M. Meek says
I’m getting to a “we’re Amosy in orbit” page with a countdown but the countdown just keeps resetting. Or it redirects to the castle page.
Denise Pollicella says
Was just able to make my park pass reservations. Do not use the app. Use the website. The app does not have any capability to do this. When you go onto the Park Pass Page, there is a tiny little bar up in the right hand corner that you can now click on that says “Make A Park Reservation”. Click on it and it will put you in a queue. Mine counted down over 30 minutes and kept refreshing to add time, so it really took about 40 minutes total, but I finally got in and was able to get them.
Shayne says
Aaaannnd….my Space Mountain page counted down from a 15 minute wait time to 11 minutes then went blank. And now I’m stuck on the castle page on my phone. Laptop still has a sign in page that won’t work. So frustrating!
Chris G says
I just got in and made my reservations. It was an easy process and it was under the Disney Park Pass link.
Jay says
After almost 2 hours I finally got to a standby page with a countdown timer and a graphic of Space Mountain. Timer started at 12:00 minutes; down to 9:00 now. Finger crossed that this is it!
Karen says
I made it to the sign in page but it just keeps deleting my password and I have been retyping it for 20 minutes now!!
Angela says
I’ve got my park passes, now!!!! Yay!
Amanda says
So far no luck 🙁
Lisa says
I was finally able to book for my November trip for 9 days, all set! Thanks for all you and your team do!
Jay says
Countdown timer got down to 2:00 minutes and the page crashed, reverting back to the Castle graphic. I don’t feel like I should be surprised.
SBG says
We finally got off the castle loading page, but the Sign In screen won’t allow me to login. So now I have to sit at my computer and keep inputting my password over and over again, hoping I’ll access the system….
Marc says
Got my parks reservations for two of our stays, but for both Marathon and Princess weekends we got ZERO park reservations as all four parks show there are no reservations available!
Ben says
Any more luck or word? Been trying since 8:30am est and having same issues still at 9:17am. Hoping folks have gotten in!
JOHN CONNELLY says
Still not getting past the pink castle and it’s almost 9:30 EST. You’d think they’d get the bugs worked out fairly quickly (and not be shocked that we all logged on first thing…like duhhh we’re disney people.
Michael says
This is new – now I’m getting
“We’re Almost in Orbit” with an optimistic time, that keeps resetting to 15 minutes about every 30 seconds
What a mess
Joe V says
I have a resort reservation and an AP but it won’t let me make more than 3 Park Pass reservations even though my stay is longer. Is this happening to other APs with resort reservations?
Sara says
I initially logged in before 7amEST and did finally get to reservation page a little after 9am EST. I tried both mobile app (didn’t work) and in safari on phone and chrome in laptop. Got in via laptop first. FYI, had to keep trying just to log in to MDE. Once in, there was a “waiting to orbit” page with a countdown timer. It reset a few times, but waited about 10 minutes, then got to make reservations. I have 4 day parkhopper, and was allowed 4 different days reservations during my hotel stay. Hang in there! Keep trying!
JOHN CONNELLY says
New Message at the pink castle
Just a Moment…
Thank you for your continued patience. Hang in there as you are making progress.
We have a lot of Guests accessing the system so you are now in a waiting room.
Please wait while we complete your request. Don’t refresh the page or select back button.
Julie says
I got signed in and then when I clicked make a park reservation the page showed “we’re almost in orbit” and then started a countdown from 15 minutes. All three times it gets frozen at 14:30.
JOHN CONNELLY says
OMG pink castle went away and I was prompted to log into my account (again??) then BACK TO THE COUNT DOWN CLOCK!!!!!!!!!
Karen says
I finally got thru and was able to make some reservations but when I try for days towards the end of our stay, the system seems to have frozen up. Will keep trying. Good luck everybody!
Cary says
Was able to make 3 reservations but then told at maximum, even though we have 6 day wdw resort stay and APs. Trying again and also trying to get a cast member on chat
Kristi C says
I’m an annual passholder with a January reservation at BLT. My and my husband’s annual passes expire in February 2021. I was able to make three reservations for theme parks for our trip, but when I tried to make a fourth, I received an error saying that I don’t have any more availability (i.e., made my three passholder reservations), but my husband did and do I want to remove this guest (me) from the reservation? what an absolute frustration!!! I’ve now been on hold with the ticket center for the past hour. This is absolutely ridiculous. I paid for a premium pass and I can’t even use it. Expect a big class action law suit coming soon…
