Disney World’s new Park Pass Reservation System was set to go live this morning and should now be open to guests with existing hotel reservations.
Today, ONLY guests with existing tickets and hotel reservations can make a park pass reservation. Annual Passholders WITHOUT a resort stay can make reservations starting June 26th. Then on June 28th, existing ticket holders can make reservations. But, this morning is off to a VERY bumpy start, people.
The Disney World website seemed SUPER-glitchy this morning, leaving a lot of folks waiting while the Seven Dwarfs are “working on it!”
We had multiple team members trying to access the Park Pass System for several hours this morning, and all of them were still experiencing technical difficulties for over an hour — even while other guests were reporting that they’d already gotten their park passes. We keep seeing Stitch “eating” a lot of webpages this morning!

But here’s a little interesting thing we spotted — on this Cinderella Castle error page, you can see they’ve changed its color to pink to reflect its new makeover!
At least we had that little moment of excitement to tide us over while we wait to snag our Disney World Park Passes!
At around 9AM ET, many other guests had already reported getting through to the system, and were giving advice on various social media channels and message forums on how they did it. Usually this included getting to the system via a workaround. At this time many guests still were not able to get into the system.
What finally worked for us was closing all of our current web pages, googling a Disney Springs restaurant, and making a dining reservation, which finally allowed us to actually log-in to our accounts. (Previously, any time we’d tried to log-in to our accounts we had been taken to the “castle waiting” page OR we’d been told that our passwords weren’t valid — something that had also been reported by many of our readers and social media followers.)
Once we’d logged in by making our dining reservation, we were able to click over to the Park Pass page and finally were given the opportunity to make our park passes. For each of our team members this took various amounts of time — some were able to do the workaround easily, but others were timed out several times and had to try the workaround multiple times.
Once we were into the actual system, things were smoother. But we’ve heard at least one report from a reader saying that while making park passes for other family members, the system is telling them that a park pass “limit” has been reached. We’d love to hear your experiences in the comments below!

Did you experience any issues with Disney’s new Park Pass Reservation System this morning? Let us know in the comments below!
Bek says
I’ve been trying to book since it first opened this morning. After being stuck on the loading page for about two hours I was finally able to book one pass but since all dates have been unavailable. And that’s every date, not just for our trip. I’ve talked to two different Disney reps and they’re unable to tell if this is a glitch or they’ve really reached max capacity.
DFB Sarah says
Laura, hopefully this afternoon was luckier for you. The morning was rough in this new system.
Jenelle says
Have been on since 7am this morning. Both my brother and I. It took a few hours to get on and we did get our July park reservations but when we went to book our November Trip, we only were able to book one day. It told us our pass limit was reached. I just got back in again, hoping it was a glitch, but we still cannot book our November trip. We are annual passholders and DVC members so we have hotel reservations for both stays we are trying to book. My brother even tried to take me off to see if I had an issue with my pass renewal but his didn’t work either. Phones are busy and cannot get anyone on Chat. I am hoping this is going to be fixed because I will be super upset if November gets filled because of a glitch:(
DFB Sarah says
Jay, I don’t think the availability is gone; I think the system is messy today. I would recommend trying again. (Also note: I could be wrong, but our team is still seeing availability on the calendar.)
DFB Sarah says
Michelle, keep trying! Hopefully it’ll work out this afternoon.
DFB Sarah says
Hillary, there’s a blue box to access the Disney Park Pass reservations on this page. If you have a Disney Resort reservation and valid tickets, you can book your DPP today.
DFB Sarah says
Jenelle, I think it’s worth trying throughout the afternoon. The system has been glitchy, but it sounds like more folks are having luck this afternoon.
DFB Sarah says
Bek, hopefully it’s a glitch!
Jamie says
I had same issue as Emily, it saying there were no more for the day I picked. I just kept changing the dates and it finally worked. Just can’t get past my AP limit issue at moment but will keep trying 🙂 Just glad my July trip is all booked up!
Deb says
I thought you were only able to make park pass reservations through Sept 26th? Someone else said they were already making reservations for November!
Also, I’m having an issue with passholder limits. We have reservations for 6 days in early September, but I can only get park reservations for 3 days. Beyone frustrating when it tells you to call a phone number and the line has been busy for the past 5 hours. So no help. 🙁
Ruth says
Trying from the UK as hoping our trip in September does go ahead. Could initially get logged in but at each stage it would say there was a problem and I would have to go back to the start. Eventually I have up but just tried again and after a little delay managed to get in and make all my reservations
DFB Sarah says
Cecilia, I hope (and expect) that it’s glitches today. Hopefully you’ll have better luck soon!
Gregg says
Keep getting park pass limit reached after only 7 days. We have 2 reservations, one in Sept and the other in Dec, and after getting Sep park passes the system tells me that for the Dec park passes our limit has been reached.
Have called the Phone number over 330 times listed for the limit reached message and can not get through.
DFB Sarah says
Ruth, what a relief.
DFB Sarah says
Deb, the end date so far is September 26, 2021.
Sandy says
After multiple glitches, shutdowns and frustrations, I used the comments from others and got in. Here’s what I did: in Chrome, I cleared all cookies and browsing history. I accessed the Walt Disney World site and made a dining reservation, which let me sign in. After making the reservation, I was still signed in and accessed the Park Reservation system easily. As many others of you, I was not able to include my sister in the reservation because she made a reservation for another date earlier and they’d no longer accept her AP. She called, talked to someone who said they’re working on it and will reserve for herself once that’s done. Once in, it took me two minutes to book four days at the end of July. Wow! What a trip this has been – it only took 7 hours to finally get in. Good luck, everyone!
Virginia says
Hi, do you know if we can modify a park reservations ?
It wants you to remove person before you can check availability
Nancy says
What a mess!! Cannot get in no matter what I try. Guessing I will have to cancel trip if I cant get into a park! Have an Annual Pass that you cant use!! Disney should really extend annual passes longer (at least 6 months)
Jennifer Stickles says
Is anyone having issues with booking a park for 2021? I have a November trip we were successfully able to book parks but it says I have reached my limit for January and I am unable to book then. Is this an annual pass holder Issues?
BD says
Finally got mine @ 2PM. 4 days in August. All parks were available. Nothing like having to monitor and wait online for 7 hours to complete this.
MiMi says
I was able to make park reservations. For our stay in October.
Myke D says
I was able to get all my days for my aug 2020 trip. The systems is working much better now that it was this morning. Good luck everyone.
Hope says
Have been waiting, kicked out, and put on hold ALL DAY. Was able to book two of the 4 days, but now it is saying all parks are booked…for every single day between July 11 and Dec. 31. (Yes, I clicked on each and every one of them.) I am hoping that something will open up tomorrow or later today. I am BEYOND frustrated.
DFB Sarah says
Jennifer, it might be one of many AP issues. I would expect you could book for January, and others have (if my memory serves) said they were able to do it.
DFB Sarah says
Nancy, I’m sure you’ve tried these tips, but I’m sharing just in case. Other readers have suggested clearing cookies to reset the webpage and using an incognito browser. I’ve also seen comments that Chrome and Microsoft Edge are working better than other browsers. Also, just as a side note, Disney has had issues with APs accessing the system today, so perhaps that’s impacting your efforts, too. I’m hoping it works out for you sooner rather than later!
DFB Sarah says
Hope, I would keep checking. We are still seeing dates available when we look at the availability calendars.
Brandon says
My friend has a reservation and already purchased tickets (months ago) for the end of October. She was on at 7am and was holding 4 hours later.
She said all the reservations are gone and her tickets disappeared from her account.
MiMi says
Is there a limit to to the number of days you can get parks tickets for?
TWay23 says
Are all park passes fully booked?!?!? I FINALLY got in and was able to book our first day, but trying for the next day shows no park availability. It show no park is available for any day ever. I have logged out, back in, cleared browsers, tried other browsers, rebooted, everything I can think of, but once I get past the pink castle, and select my party, all parks show unavailable on all days.
Margaret Abel says
I got the 5 days for my August trip, but since they are limiting AP with reservations to 7 days of reservations. What do I do for the 5 day January and 4 day February DVC reservations. Do I wait until after I use the August reservation? That is if the Governor allows New Yorkers in.
Joy says
I made park reservations for 5 out of 7 days in September and then I was kicked out. I used incognito browser (Edge) to get back in and I got the other two days. When I was having trouble in Firefox, I could see the calendars, but every day was greyed out.
Bill says
I’m a DVC member and an Annual Passholder. From 6:30 (eastern) I’ve been trying to get in. Finally got in around 12:30 and tried to reserve a park for my stay in September.
What I saw showed the parks having zero availability from now all the way through September 2021.
This doesn’t seem correct. Anyone else seeing this issue? Surely the parks are not all full for a full year (and then some).
Floirne says
I have more than one trip planned. 🙂 I was able to make Park Pass Reservations for the first trip, but then I get an error message saying that I’ve reached the Park Pass limit when trying for the second trip. No luck calling the number given on the page. 🙁
Jessica Russ says
I was able to make park reservations for my July trip but says :limit reached” when I try to do it for my November trip. I have a Gold AP and checked-in resort reservations. Really annoying. I have called the number 57 times (busy all the time) and can’t get this looked at. I have tried on MacBook Air, Lenovo, Chrome, Safari, my phone… This is worse than trying to get onto Star Wars. At least that is over in 1 minute… This has been a long 9 hours.
Greg J. Hipius says
I don’t know who to believe – DFB guardian angels, can you help?
I can get in, I have a few reservations, but still have days in my trip coming up with no parks available.
I would have done my weeping by now and given up, except I keep hearing reports of people still getting new park reservations even this afternoon, and even specifically in our window (mid-August)… it even looks like you have a way to see that there are still available parks(?)… but every day comes up as booked when I look for myself, either in the park reservation availability checker they posted or in the reservation system itself.
Is there any way to know whether I can trust the news that all hope is lost for those days in my trip, or whether I should keep investing my time in the endless check and re-check (been at it for nine hours straight now)?
Krystal Nola says
I initially got the Castle page, but then opened up a new page which got me right in. I had NO trouble at all making reservations for 4 days of Park Passes for our October trip. It took under 5 minutes once I started and when I check under My Plans on MDE, the passes were listed.
gale freed says
I am another AP holder with two resort reservations, and I was capped at 3 days – I finally got through o the phone and then after 38 minutes of holding was dropped 🙁
Bay E says
While the castle and I became friends, finally it let me in to the logon page and made the park reservations easily for my party. Fairly slick once you get into it, though you do have to agree to the Covid waiver each time you make a park reservation. It allowed me to make all of the days we have hotel reservations for. We are AP holders.
Cory Souliere says
Me and my wife did our park reservations today we are staying on property but our 2 friends aren’t. When can we make their park reservations?
Linnea Pearson says
I was Informed by the I S group at Disney that all dates through September of next year are available. I was able finally to book for 1030 and 1031, but can’t do anything November 1 second third fourth, which are dates that we are we have tickets for. They put in a ticket with their team that’s responsible for the website, and I’m waiting to hear from them. Hopefully, they are not booked out!
Jack scott says
I tried this morning with no luck. At 4:00 EST I was able to log in with no wait. I made 8 days of reservations for the end of September with no issues. I even cancelled a few and rebooked for different days.
Anna Salko says
I made reservations for 1/5 days of our trip and then everything became unavailable. I don’t know if the site crashed again or if I’m just too late. I was at work all day today and kept checking the app and kept getting nothing. This is terrible, my daughter’s 5th birthday is ruined. I should probably cancel my trip. Why are Disneys programmers so bad? This happens every time the launch anything.
Judy Holland says
I was only able to to get 3 park day passes and then IT kicked me out, even after numerous tries. We have 2 stays scheduled. Sept /Oct and Dec/Jan. The 3 days I did get (and they are showing in MDE) are Dec 25 Dec 30, and Dec 31, 2020. Had been trying unsuccessfully all morning to get in, after 4 hours did get 3 days, kicked out, able to be back in around 3:30, but I am still limited to 3 days only – which is NOT nearly enough. HELP and of course, the phones are slammed.
SME says
I was able to book our park reservations for early October.
DFB Sarah says
Anna, we’re only seeing a few days totally booked up (July 15-17), and that’s only at one Park (DHS). I think your best bet is to keep trying now that the morning overload is done, and you’ll need to do it on a web browser, not in the app. Good luck!
DFB Sarah says
Linnea, so far we’re still seeing availability for all Parks every day except July 15-17 (Hollywood Studios). Hopefully they’ll sort your problem out ASAP. Keep checking the site, if you’re able.
DFB Sarah says
Cory, if they have valid, confirmed tickets in your or their Disney account, they are eligible to make Disney Park Pass reservations on June 28. Here’s the language: Beginning June 28, 2020, existing ticket holders can make reservations.
Jackie says
It’s only allowing 3 days, despite my hotel reservation & AP. Not happy. And can’t get through in the phone.
DFB Sarah says
Bay, thanks for the info!
DFB Sarah says
Gale, we think this is a glitch. Hopefully it’ll work for you soon!
