Disney World’s new Park Pass Reservation System was set to go live this morning and should now be open to guests with existing hotel reservations.
Today, ONLY guests with existing tickets and hotel reservations can make a park pass reservation. Annual Passholders WITHOUT a resort stay can make reservations starting June 26th. Then on June 28th, existing ticket holders can make reservations. But, this morning is off to a VERY bumpy start, people.
The Disney World website seemed SUPER-glitchy this morning, leaving a lot of folks waiting while the Seven Dwarfs are “working on it!”
We had multiple team members trying to access the Park Pass System for several hours this morning, and all of them were still experiencing technical difficulties for over an hour — even while other guests were reporting that they’d already gotten their park passes. We keep seeing Stitch “eating” a lot of webpages this morning!

But here’s a little interesting thing we spotted — on this Cinderella Castle error page, you can see they’ve changed its color to pink to reflect its new makeover!
At least we had that little moment of excitement to tide us over while we wait to snag our Disney World Park Passes!
At around 9AM ET, many other guests had already reported getting through to the system, and were giving advice on various social media channels and message forums on how they did it. Usually this included getting to the system via a workaround. At this time many guests still were not able to get into the system.
What finally worked for us was closing all of our current web pages, googling a Disney Springs restaurant, and making a dining reservation, which finally allowed us to actually log-in to our accounts. (Previously, any time we’d tried to log-in to our accounts we had been taken to the “castle waiting” page OR we’d been told that our passwords weren’t valid — something that had also been reported by many of our readers and social media followers.)
Once we’d logged in by making our dining reservation, we were able to click over to the Park Pass page and finally were given the opportunity to make our park passes. For each of our team members this took various amounts of time — some were able to do the workaround easily, but others were timed out several times and had to try the workaround multiple times.
Once we were into the actual system, things were smoother. But we’ve heard at least one report from a reader saying that while making park passes for other family members, the system is telling them that a park pass “limit” has been reached. We’d love to hear your experiences in the comments below!

Did you experience any issues with Disney’s new Park Pass Reservation System this morning? Let us know in the comments below!
Megan says
My issue is that when I add the AP holder to my party the availability suddenly goes away. If I add only the non-pass holders things open up. The AP holder is on our resort reservation as well. I was only able to make a reservation for 1/6 days! I’ve tried calling multiple different phone numbers but they are all “failing”. Has anyone else had this issue or know a work around?
Giusi Favazza says
We have resort reservations and exsiting park tickets linked to our My Disney expiriance but we were only able to get 3 reservations and we are not annual pass holders. I heard AP holders were also having this problem. when I check for availability the days that I want are available but when I go to get them they tell me that they are not available. is anyone els having this problem? we tried calling Disney but then say that they can’t help us.
Tiffany Lee says
I was able to book 3 of the 10 days (7 at Christmas and 3 in February), then I got the “park pass limit” message. I am not about to sit on hold for hours. I’ll just cancel the dang trips. Ridiculously frustrating.
Maria says
Logged on at 7am and after 2 hrs and 15 min we had success and were able to secure passes for our trip in July. However, when we went to do our September trip it popped up that there was an issue with my pass . We called and was told that it was an IT glitch and AP holders are not limited. They said to keep trying to log on and book it. The CM was amazing and said this issue was widespread!
Mandy says
We were only able to book 3 park days when we had a 5 night stay in August. I also wasn’t able to book any park days for our November trip too. Psyched for the 3 days, but really want to make reservations for the other days soon!
DFB Sarah says
Mandy, I think keep trying. We are still seeing availability in August, so possibly you’ve met a glitch.
DFB Sarah says
Maria, thank you. That’s what we’ve heard from some other readers as well.
DFB Sarah says
Tiffany, we’re hearing this is a glitch, so possibly give it another try (if you’ve got the time or patience — I know it’s time consuming and stressful). Good luck!
DFB Sarah says
Giusi, we think there are still some glitches being worked out. Hopefully that will be the case for you, and the reservations will be available for you soon. Otherwise, you might try reaching out to Disney again. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!
DFB Sarah says
Megan, we think there are still glitches being ironed out. Hopefully it’ll work out for you soon.
DFB Sarah says
Jackie, this is something a reader was told by Disney IT is a glitch that they’re working on. I hope that’s true and it works out for you soon!
DFB Sarah says
Greg, we’ve been looking though the availability calendar all day and seeing availability except for a few mid-July dates (for Hollywood Studios). I don’t want to get your hopes all the way up because we’re not privy to an additional info than what’s on the site, but I do think it’s worth continuing to look as glitches are potentially sorted out with Disney IT. Some tips other readers recommended are clearing your cookies to reset the Disney World website and using an incognito browser tab/window if you can. Good luck!
DFB Sarah says
Jessica, it must have been an exhausting day in more than one way! We think the park limit errors might be a glitch (although we can’t be sure unless Disney officially says this is so), and if that’s the case, I hope they’ll sort it out sooner rather than later!
DFB Sarah says
Floirne, it sounds like the phones have been jammed today (unsurprisingly). It may be that the site remains glitchy, so hopefully this error will subside at some point and you’ll be able to proceed. If not, you might need to keep pushing to get ahold of Disney to inquire. Good luck!
DFB Sarah says
Hi, Bill. Lots of folks reported seeing this, and it does not seem to be accurate. Hopefully by now (almost 7PM) you’ve had some luck getting in.
DFB Sarah says
Margaret, DIsney didn’t officially publish limits on the number of days you can book, so we’re watching to see if this might be a glitch. Hopefully folks with this problem will get a resolution soon.
DFB Sarah says
MiMi, not officially in the published info from Disney, but a lot of folks are getting that error.
DFB Sarah says
TWay23, we think this was a glitch in the matrix of this Park Pass system. Hopefully by now (7PM) you’ve got it sorted. If not, I hope it IS a glitch and you’ll get what you need.
DFB Sarah says
Brandon, yikes! I hope she’s sorted it out by now. That definitely sounds like a glitch as we are still seeing availability on the calendar Disney provided. As for the tickets disappearing, I hope Disney was able to help her with that.
DFB Sarah says
Virginia, I have heard from readers who confirm you can modify the Disney Park Pass reservations, but we haven’t tried that yet.
DFB Sarah says
Gregg, I hope you’ve had better luck by now. Possibly (probably?) it was a glitch.
Kurt says
Would only let me book 3 days despite having 14 day teservations and annual passes.
DFB Sarah says
Kurt, this was a common problem, and hopefully it’s just a glitch. Hopefully you’ll have better luck soon!
Joyelle Snyder says
On the phone for 10 hours…Disney are you there?
Julia Malatak says
I can get in but all the dates I select says one or more parks are not available. Dates are late September?? Been trying all day
Greg J. Hipius says
Hi! I have news for people of my specific problem, and I have seen many posting, so I thought I’d share. I have a ten night resort stay with ten day ticket, and after making some park reservations today, every park on every day is showing up as unavailable. I *thought* we’d been “sold out”. I called Disney tonight and waited 2.5 hours on hold, and I’m glad I did, because the cast member could really help:
She verified, after looking in my account, that this IS a bug that some accounts have gotten (this is separate and in addition to the AP and DVC bugs, which are not affecting us), and she marked our account for IT to verify tonight gets fixed by a large patch to the system they will be pushing out after hours.
She was able to verify for me that at the moment we are in no danger of getting locked out of parks on most days (we are going in mid August), and that we should sign on tomorrow to make the remaining reservations when we should expect it to be fixed.
I just wanted to be sure to share that news, since I bet there are a lot of other people who could benefit from hearing pieces of it. Best of luck, everyone – it looks like things might be okay tomorrow even if you are still flustered by account problems tonight!
Ellis Reeves IV says
We booked our first two days and now any day that we click on says that one or more parks are not available and all of the parks are showing as unavailable. We have tried everything we could.
Lauren says
I haven’t been able to book any more days beyond our first scheduled resort day in September.. I’ve been closing and re-logging in without any luck
DFB Sarah says
Lauren, I’m sorry. It seems like there’s still a glitch? We think? I hope you have better luck soon!
DFB Sarah says
Ellis, lots of folks are having this issue. We’re hoping/thinking it’s a glitch, so hopefully it’ll be sorted out soon.
DFB Sarah says
Greg, many, many thanks for sharing your experience and the info from Disney! Have a great night. 🙂
Patrick says
Same issue. Was only able to book 1 day of a 3 day pass. The rest of the month now doesn’t let you pick any parks. Tried calling various numbers all day but only get busy tone or a voice message saying all lines are busy. I couldn’t even get through to the number for our hotel. Trip is for beginning of October.
Ugh.
Patrick
DFB Sarah says
Julia, very likely a glitch! I recommend trying tomorrow (or later tonight).
DFB Sarah says
Joyelle, oh, wow!
Dorothy says
I’ve been on hold for over four hours is this normal?
Jackie says
14 hours and over 300 phone calls. Nothing.
Beata says
I tried to get on 7am and it was not till 9:30am that I managed to book 1 day then got booted. Took fee hours to get I to system again but when try to reserve I get no available park for any of our resort stays ,( we have 4 separate onsite room reservation s some package- others had 4 days park Tix and single day tickets us I have AP. I thought they did out but on availability tab it shows only part of July booked up or limited parks. Must be a glitch. Tried calling over 10 times- always “all circuits are busy- try back”
Jackie says
10:01pm, I’ve been on hold with Disney since 4pm. I think I must be lost in the que. I’ve only been able to make half of my park reservations… really tired.. ready to throw in the towel, haven’t heard a cast members voice in over 6hrs.
Shannon says
I was able to book park pass reservations for the 4 days of our trip that we are going to the parks. It took 5 hours. My technique was clicking the link for the My Disney Experience and I just let it sit there. It automatically would reload. I kept the tab open and went on with my work and periodically would check it, finally I was able to log on and then I was in a new online waiting room…which initially told me how many minutes… but the number kept going up and then eventually the wait was too long to even be listed, again I just let the page sit and it would reload automatically. I kept tab open and went on with my work… about 2 hours later I realized I was in and I was to make park pass selections. I then would frequently get the “oops something went wrong” Olaf picture, so I would click the back arrow and it would reload..this seemed to work. I got the error many times and kept clicking back until I was able to get through the steps and get a success screen. for 1 reservation I did not get this screen, but I started to get the “not so fast” error saying I had reservations that day…so I used the app on my iphone and sure enough it showed I did in fact have park passes that day despite the Olaf error message….what a process.
Matt says
10-day pass, 11-night stay, able to book 2 park passes, all other days show no parks available. We spoke with a Disney CS rep, who told us:
1. This is a very widespread problem;
2. The issue appears to be that the system cannot verify both the resort reservation and the ticket. It is the reservation that appears to be the issue, so the system is defaulting to thinking we have only a ticket and not a res;
3. The only solution CS has been given is to keep trying. Her best recommendation was to log completely out and log back in using Incognito mode on Chrome (which WAS faster to connect than Safari, although I have no reason to believe that was a browser issue rather than something on Disney’s side).
Since then, I have been trying about once every half hour without success. We started at 3 AM local time (7 AM EDT). We were finally able to get in to make the 2 reservations by around 11 AM local (3 PM EDT,) but have had no further success. It is now nearly 8 PM local (midnight in Florida).
kim payton says
I had the same problem that I was able to book some days but not all because I was an annual passholder. It is fixed now!!!!!! I just booked the rest of my days.
Jane says
We have a 5 day vacation in Dec. I made park reservations for each day after a bumpy start. Thanks DFB for helping to keep me somewhat sane yesterday!
Scott Boydston says
We have 3 trips, 2 in 2020 and 1 in 2021. Of the 21 days, I was able to secured 7 out of 21 park reservations before receiving a message that I can not make anymore reservations. To correct the problem, I made over 600 phone call attempts to reach the park reservation help desk. I got through at 6pm last night and then waited over 2.5 hours listening to hold music. We still do not have reservations for 14 park dates at WDW. This morning all park reservation dates for our trip are showing booked/unavailable.
We are DVC with hotel reservations and annual passholders which qualifies for early park registration. I expect WDW to make this right.
Patrick says
Still not working. Same glitch where after booking 1 day, every park on every other day says its not available. Whatever push IT reportedly was going to do last night didn’t fix my account.
-Patrick
Gregory says
so day two of trying to get park passes. Disney online chat indicated that there is a glitch with my account, and it is being forwarded to their IT department. Their system is not recognizing that we are resort guest with 6 day park tickets. I have my fingers crossed that we will be able to get into the parks for our trip in September now. It is my son’s first time and we waited to tell him until last week once we finally found out what the parks plans were. 🙁 Figured I would share this update in case anybody else is having the issue.
Gregory says
Hope’s issues sounds Identical to mine. Hope, your best bet is to contact Disney via Chat or Phone Call. I am hopeful that that can correct my account before all the reservations are taken up
Ann says
Disney really dropped the ball on this. They should have only opened it up for those staying in the next month or 2 and phased the rest. There is no reason for people who are staying past Aug/Sept to be calling and plugging up the lines, on the first day, for later stays.
Nicole says
Has anyone found a way around the full length of stay issues? I’m an AP and was able to book for part of my trip, but not all. I do have more than 3 though. It just randomly shut me down at some point during the day yesterday. Bizarre.
Katie says
Day 2 and I’m still having the problems I had yesterday. Could only book 1 day after 8 hours of trying, spoken to multiple cast members and was able to get a total of 2 out of 6 days. Logged back in this morning and I’m still getting the same “glitch” calendar is showing that one or more parks are unavailable. Called right at 4 am California time and was on hold for an hour and 25 minutes before being cut off! Beyond sad and frustrated at the idea of another day of calling but alas the things we do for Disney Magic. Has anyone had any luck getting around this glitch? Worried because hotel guests can start adding tickets tomorrow and I wonder how that will effect availability. Almost 27 hours of dealing with crazy
DFB Sarah says
Katie, it’s been quite a journey the past day. Sorry it doesn’t look like things were repaired overnight. Hopefully it’ll clear up today.
