Disney’s international parks outside of the U.S. are known for incredible creativity. They are all beautiful and unique in their own way, with Disneyland Paris’ stunning castle (with a full-sized dragon hiding underneath!) as well as Shanghai’s MASSIVE castle!
And if there’s something ALL of the Disney Parks are known for, it’s their SNACKS. Some of the CUTEST Disney park snacks can be found outside of the U.S.A.. Let’s take a virtual trip around the world to see a whopping 23 international Disney snacks we wish we had back home in the states!
Tokyo Disney Resort
Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are often touted as having some of the cutest food and merchandise of ANY Disney Park.
First up, if you ever find yourself at Tokyo Disneyland, you gotta grab one of these Mike Wasowski Melon Breads!
This popular treat in Japan is also known as Melon Pan! It actually tastes (mildly) of melon! The eye is chocolate, so brace yourself for a soft, spongy melon chocolate bread! It looks too cute to pass up though!
Another group of food items Tokyo is well known for are those UNIQUE popcorn flavors! There’s Milk Chocolate…
…Herb Tomato…
…Honey…
…a familiar Caramel flavor…
…a not-s0-familiar Curry flavor…
…and Chinese Chili!
There are plenty more, so don’t pass by a popcorn cart in Tokyo!
OK, now one of our favorite eats in Tokyo Disney Sea are these epic POTATO CHURROS! We’re all super used to sweet churros here in the states, but the savory, comfort food Potato Churros are epic! Beware — the line is LONG!
Next up, can we talk about a sweet-salty mashup? Find this one at Sebastian’s Calypso Kitchen!
This sweet-salty Sea Salt Ice Cream Monaka is a hidden gem, and eagerly sought after by every Disney food fan who heads to Tokyo!
Inside a cookie/cake coating, you’ll find that sea-salt ice cream that’s a lot more complex than other treats you’ll find stateside!
Next, head over to the American Waterfront area of Disney Sea to get a seriously must-have treat, which we DO NOT understand why we can’t find state-side!
Say hello to the Mickey-shaped chicken nuggets! Seriously why aren’t these in WDW?
The Little Green Men dumplings are also pretty iconic when it comes to adorable Tokyo snacks! Look at how cute and squishy they are! Each dumpling is actually Mochi (which is a lightly sweetened dough made from sweet rice flour) stuffed with thick custard!
Speaking of dumplings, we fell in love with these cute Scrump dumplings (Scrumplings, perhaps?). The best part is they come in an adorable Stitch cup!
Tokyo also has some snacks we may recognize here in the states. Craving some Mickey Waffles? They have those in Tokyo! But guys, they take PRIDE in their waffles.
No wonky edges here and look at those PERFECT drizzles on top. They’re basically waffle works of art! Also, can we pause for a moment to talk about the TINY waffle fork in this photo? Iconic.
Don’t these just look like the most beautiful waffles you’ve ever seen?
It MIGHT put our classic Mickey Waffles in the states to shame (LOOK at the perfect scoop of ice cream!).
You can also get mini Mickey waffles for a more ‘bite-size’ snack. These are drizzled with maple syrup, hence the adorable fork to avoid messy fingers! But be aware, these are served cold!
Speaking of Mickey-shaped food, did you know that Tokyo serves up Mickey-shaped churros?
What do you get when you combine the iconic Mickey Mouse shape with the iconic churro? One MEGA ICONIC snack! (Seriously, why aren’t ALL churros Mickey-shaped?!)
And on a hot summer day, what could be better than these oh-so-cute Minnie and Mickey ice pops? You know how the ice cream man used to drive around and you’d see those pictures on the truck that looked SO COOL then get the snack and it was just…a frozen blob of color? Yea…not in Japan, guys. The picture looks JUST LIKE what you get.
We’re not saying we’ll be the FIRST ones in line if these ever come to the states, but we will most likely clear our calendars. 😉
We’ll have both, please!
And finally, we couldn’t talk about the snacks in Tokyo Disneyland without mentioning the pizza spring rolls!
These are often noted as one of the standout food items you can find in the park! They’re very similar to the ones we find in the Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland in Disney World, but they’re MUCH bigger and come in a cute dedicated wrapper and everything.
Be aware that the spring roll flavor changes seasonally as well, though, so if you’re lucky enough to get pizza, it’s time to celebrate!
Seriously, the food at Tokyo Disneyland is just so cute that it’s on a different level. SO much care is put into the presentation of every aspect of the foods you order. We’d love to see a few of these Disney snacks make their way over to the states!
Shanghai Disney Resort
Next, let’s move onto the newest addition to the Disney Parks fleet: Shanghai Disneyland and the Shanghai Disney Resort!
If you’re looking for Duffy and his friends, you’ve come to the right resort! Check them out in Panna Cotta form!
This adorable dessert comes as Duffy, ShellieMay, and Gelatoni!
They each have their own unique flavor too, like Matcha (green tea), strawberry, or coffee!
And in Shanghai Disneyland, Donald Duck gets his very own popsicle! Don’t you think Donald deserves more snacks of his very own here in the U.S.? (Though we do stan a duck-butt cupcake.)
These are those PERFECT textured soft-solid ice-pops like you get from the good ol’ ice cream man. They’re a perfect mix between a hard popsicle and fluffy sorbet. Honestly, we’re all in for more Disney popsicles and character-themed goodies! So send these our way, Disney!!
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
Now, it’s time to check out some of the fun snacks at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort!
We’re starting our Hong Kong Disneyland roundup with all things Dim Sum. Crystal Lotus, one of the flagship restaurants at Hong Kong Disneyland, serves up what they call “Disney Dim Sum,” and all we can say is, be prepared for some culinary cuteness.
Variations of this dish include Baymax…
…these adorable little piggies…
…Little Green Men…
…Duffy and ShellieMay…
…and Olaf! Okay, Olaf looks a little scary, but hey, overall they’re pretty darn cute.
And for dessert, they have a selection of chilled pudding to sample! They have Marvel…
…and Star Wars!
For even more ways to satisfy your sweet tooth in Hong Kong Disneyland, check out these adorable character donuts!
Keeping with the Duffy theme, you can find him and ShellieMay in donut form.
But they have other characters too like Pooh and Donald! We think these donuts could TOTALLY fit in at Disneyland and Disney World! Look at how PERFECTLY they’re decorated!
Just check out this Donald Duck donut! Like the popsicles in Shanghai, Donald would LOVE to have his very own donut treat at the Disneyland Resort and Disney World!
We’re also obsessed with this Lotso Ice Pop!
You almost forget how much of a villain he was when you check this dessert out! Too cute!
If you get thirsty, there’s an assortment of Duffy and Friends Milkshakes! You can pick from Gelatoni, StellaLou, Duffy, and ShellieMay!
Hong Kong has a different variety of sweets and eats that we’d love to see Disney World and Disneyland introduce!
Disneyland Paris
And last but not least, we’re heading to Europe for a visit to Disneyland Paris! This park is also full of cute snacks to try, and depending on what time of year you visit, you may find even MORE specialty treats! Last holiday season they were serving up this pretty Sparkling Donut.
They also had this yummy Gingerbread Tree Treat! Let’s hope they bring those snacks back this holiday season!
Disneyland Paris also has its own Star Wars celebration called Legends of the Force. This past season we saw a ton of adorable Star Wars-themed treats pop up throughout the park.
Is that a Darth Vader waffle? Don’t mind if we do!
We would LOVE to see some of these Star Wars snacks make an appearance in the states! We definitely celebrate these films enough that they could easily fit in.
Like the U.S. parks, they also serve adorable cupcakes!
One of the most popular treats from Disneyland Paris is their fudge! You can pick some up at the BoardWalk Candy Palace.
While we’re quite fond of our Disney World and Disneyland snacks, it’s always fun to throw in a little bit of new and exciting treats into the mix! We’d love to see a few of these unique snacks with their fun flavors over this way, wouldn’t you?!
