When Disney World closed, Annual Passholders on the monthly payment plan were given the option to postpone their payments until the end of the closure.
On Friday, some Annual Passholder who chose to postpone payments were unexpectedly charged for all four months of the park closures at once. Disney acknowledged that this was an error, and said they were in the process of reversing the charges.
And it looks like the reversals have started processing! As of this weekend, Annual Passholders have reported that they’ve seen the unexpected charges removed from their accounts.
Disney has also sent an email to Annual Passholders to address the situation. According to the email, the reversals should be reflected in guest bank accounts “over the next couple of days,” for those who have yet to see the refund.
We reached out to Disney and a Cast Member confirmed that everyone who was charged should see the reversal processed automatically, without needing to call.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for any additional developments!

How do I go about canceling my annual pass with all the new changes I will not be able to use my pass any longer
DFB Sarah says
Hazel, you would probably want to contact VIPassholder services or Disney reservations to talk about your options.

No Credit for Annual Pass charges seen on my Account aas of 11:00Am Monday July 5, 2020!

Having an extra month to compensate for the loss of park hopper and limited reservations sounds good…BUT, that extra month will fall in June/July for us and since our pass has block out dates all of July…we won’t be able to use that month anyway. Very disappointing!

I waited on hold for 45 minutes to cancel my Annual Pass…finally someone answers from the IT dept.
He tells me he will FORWARD the request to cancel our 2- $1000. Platinum passes to the VIPassholder dept.
I said “why did I get put thru to you?”
He said, “that’s how they’re doing it”.
I said “OK, how much will my refund be”?
He said “I don’t know but they will process it in a few days.
I said “Well, we only used these passes for 2 days in Feb. and 2 days in March before you closed…we might not want to cancel depending on what the refund is. Can you have someone call me and tell me the amount first?”
He said “Sorry, NO You can either put in to cancel and they refund whatever they deem correct or not, just let me know what you want to do. They say there will be an update of PH refund info in the beginning of July”…
I said this IS the beginning of July”…
I of course said don’t cancel yet. Guess we’ll wait and see what announcement is made..in the beginning of July!
BOY, that is VIP treatment if I’ve ever seen it!

The money charged to our bank account Saturday morning was put back Sunday. I guess it’s good to have a Chase account since Disney has a great relationship with them. I feel bad for all the people this affected that may have not had enough money in their account to cover this expense and probably ruined their holiday weekend. Come on 2020, just get over.
