We are LIVE in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom today ahead of the park’s upcoming reopening to guests on Saturday, July 11th.

We are here thanks to a friend who brought us along for today’s Cast Member preview. So far, we’ve visited Happy Haunts in the Haunted Mansion, seen some old friends, and taken a splash on Splash Mountain. Of course, if you’ve been keeping up with the latest news about Splash Mountain, then you know the attraction will be closing to be reimagined with a full re-themeing inspired by The Princess and the Frog.
So, not only were the lines to ride Splash Mountain longer than those at other attractions we’ve ridden today… the nearby Splashdown Photos was experiencing some lines all its own as fans were hoping to get some commemorative Splash Mountain merchandise!

Now, as far as getting the merchandise… guest are directed to line up outside of the store, so you can’t just stop in after riding the attraction. Once inside, you’ll notice things like distancing markers on the ground, and plexiglass installed in front of the registers.

A manager informed us that items are going fast (and we noticed in particular that folks were really going for the plush).

But there is no limit as to how much guests may purchase… at least not now. We’ll be keeping you posted on all the goings on around Magic Kingdom today and again later this week as Walt Disney World prepares to welcome guests again to the parks this weekend!

How can you order merchandise like the plushies? My son has always wanted Brair Bear
Lori, I don’t see them on ShopDisney, but you might find someone reselling online.
I have an issue with WDW not regulating how many of each item can be purchased. I wanted to buy the three Brers [Rabbit, Bear, and Fox] for my future grandchild (who will be born in October). Now, the only way to find anything is through price-gougers who are selling their stuff for 2-4 times the original price on Ebay, Amazon, etc.
What a shame that there was no limit for the sales of the Splash Mountain items. My granddaughter loves/loved this ride and I would have loved to get her each of the plushes. They are on ebay now for $100’s of dollars each. We cannot make it down until September.
Why doesn’t Disney just keep making the Splash Mountain plushies and the Flume that has the rabbit and the Bear in it and some of the other stuff and sell it even when the ride is being revamped for the Princess and the Frog Witch is my granddaughter liked it but I didn’t think it was that good a movie Google why won’t Disney keep making them at least I could bring you some money that way to help pay for all this close down stuff he won’t be singing the song or nothing so I don’t see how that could be racist just because you wanted the plush doll are you one of the toys so please Disney think about it we had plans on coming next year which is the 50th of Disney World and we was hoping that Splash Mountain would at least be open through the 50th anniversary and I really don’t understand why it’s closing but I do understand that Disney wants to bow down to whoever but to me they could keep the merchandise going please think about this because that means that my grandchildren there we have been coming since my granddaughter was to and she is 11 now and my grandson is 2 will be 3 in September and I was hoping he was going to get the ride Splash Mountain but it doesn’t look that way because of call the controversy but I don’t think that’s what we want his self thank you for your time please keep selling the merchandise for Splash Mountain even after its shut down because there’s all these hoarders out here and I know y’all seen it just get on eBay I had a Splash Mountain Magic Band it got lost in the park and I seen one on eBay somebody wanted $145 for it I mean be for real
