Two of Disney World’s theme parks have already reopened to the general public while the remaining two are set to open tomorrow.
EPCOT
All guests who visit must have valid theme park admission and a reservation to visit Disney World during its reopening phase. And availability for Annual Passholders has been pretty slim. Now, Disney has shared that they will be increasing availability for Annual Passholders.Â
When the new Disney Park Pass reservation system first launched, Annual Passholder spots went quickly. As you can see from this current screenshot of Disney World’s theme park availability calendar, all of the Disney Park Pass reservations for Annual Passholders have already been taken for the month of July.

A significant number of dates have also filled up in August for APs, especially on the weekends. During the week, many spots for Disney’s Hollywood Studios have been taken as well as Magic Kingdom.

But according to an email that was just sent to us by Disney, additional Disney Park Pass reservations will be offered to Annual Passholders for select dates in July and August at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

No word on Disney’s Hollywood Studios reservations being added at this time. Disney will be adding the new passes on Thursday, July 16th.Â

Disney also states this increase Disney Park Pass reservation availability does not reflect an increase in park attendance or crowd levels. Capacity is still being limited during Disney World’s initial reopening phase.

I guess this will only be for passholders who are not blocked and they will not unblock other pass types?
Any chance they will allow more than three in future. Seems regular theme park tickets are afforded more availability. Thanks.
Randy, there have been so many changes to AP policies, I think you’ll want to get word directly from Disney on this.

Does this mean that if I happen to book all 3 dates in August and use them in August, I will be able to reserve another 3 dates for 2020/2021?
Mel, that’s a good question (and not as explicitly clear as we might wish). The way I took it was to mean once you check into a Park using a DPP, you can make a new DPP for whenever you plan to be back (as long as there’s availability, of course). So basically, once you’ve used up one of your three, you can make another to replace it. Does that make sense? I’m hoping the team can test this out at some point so we can confirm this.

DFBSarah, I just spoke to a cast member who confirmed what you are saying/my original question. Once I use my 3 park pass reservations, I can then make 3 more. I asked her several times and she confirmed. If someone else is able to call and confirm the same thing with a cast member, that would make me feel even better!
