We’ve been exploring EPCOT today to see how the park is settling into its second week since reopening.
So far, we’ve already spotted a brand new pair of Sequined Classic Minnie Ears at Mouse Gear, but we also saw something else we HAVEN’T seen at the parks before!
EPCOT’s reopening has been a bit more unusual compared to the other Disney World theme parks. That’s because the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival kicked off on the exact same day the park reopened last week.
Under normal circumstances, guests can stroll around the World Showcase while snacking and sipping on items from the various festival food booths, but this year you must remain stationary and socially distance yourself if you want to remove your mask while you eat or drink! In fact, Disney World just put up a ton of new face mask policy signs over the weekend with this recent update they’ve made to their official health and safety measures.
But check this out — while we’ve been seeing Cast Members ask guests to fix their face masks if they’re pulled down or not being worn correctly, today we saw Cast Members strolling around EPCOT actively reminding guests to wear their face coverings.
This was the first time and place we’ve seen Cast Members holding face mask policy signs at Disney World, but we imagine the other parks could be adopting this new enforcement procedure too.
We’ll be visiting the other Disney World parks this week and we’ll let you know what we see! Until then, check out what you should eat and drink this year at a Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival by taking a look at our BEST of the FEST list here!

And… I’m done. Postponing our upcoming trip. (Or maybe going somewhere else altogether ) Not spending that much money for someone to tell me every 30 seconds to distance, mask, blah blah.

That’s great! If they see a guest without their mask on, they just show the sign. Won’t have to say a word and deal with a guest complaining or barking back at them! At least I think that will help!

I don’t know who would pay to fly a family to Disney this year. Maybe they could get in a park one day, maybe not. No parades, no shows. LONG lines for rides once Disney allows more than a few thousand people into the parks. I doubt Disney is allowing more than 5% capacity so far. Capacity of Magic Kingdom is 90,000. 25% of that is 22,500. I guarantee there are nowhere near that many people being allowed into the park yet. Hopefully, this all blows over by October of 2021…
