Amber says
Does Disney ever offer a military veteran discount? I know that typically the military discount is for active duty or retired but I think that veterans should get a break as well. 🤷🏻♀️ Who would I speak to about that?
Also we love your videos!!
DFB Sarah says
Amber, I’m not sure of a direct number to Disney for discussing military discounts — sorry! What I see on disneyworld.com is probably what you’ve already seen here. You could contact Disney (general number) and inquire about the application of discounts to veterans. Shades of Green has opportunities for veterans described here. On Military.com, they say, “Through Disney’s Armed Forces Salute program, military personnel can get discounted tickets to Disney theme parks. These deals are good for all military members, including active duty, National Guard, Reserve, retired military and spouses.” You might want to check into their sources to confirm.
Nancy Waters says
So what are the special “DEALS” you are offering those of us, who are Disney Vacation Club Owners?
We have a Villa booked at the Towers right after Christmas. Then I have 7 tickets that are the ones I bought a couple of years ago, which were ” forever tickets” – park hoppers, and both beaches. They are for 7 days. What happens to them?
No, this is the very 1st time I have every commented.
Roz says
Amber my husband is not active duty or retired veteran but he is classified as a disabled veteran. With that said he qualified for the military discount offers for the theme parks and resorts. This is something you should check into to. You can also check with Shades of Green Resort. They will be able to answer your questions. Not sure if they have reopened yet though. Hope it works for you.
Dana says
What happened to the orange bird magnets. Will passholders ever be able to get them. WISH THEY WOULD JUST SEND US THEM.

Nancy, you’ll want to reach out to DVC Member Services.
Joy says
Disney does not (at this time) offer discounts or special perks for military veterans. Only active duty or retired. I know because my father-in-law is former military and they asked for his military ID and determined he doesn’t qualify. He served several years but was not “career” military and was not one of the classes Disney requires for their definition of military status.
Deaun says
I wish they would offer discounts for thise of us that still willing to get on a plane and travel there to enjoy the parks.
