There are a few signature dishes at Captain Cooks in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that are worth a trip on the monorail to enjoy. In the morning, it’s all about the Tonga Toast, but in the afternoon, the pulled pork nachos are what we’re after!
On our visit to the Polynesian today, we swung by Captain Cooks and FREAKED when we noticed that we could order the pulled pork nachos once again!
The pulled pork nachos sit on a beautiful bed of housemade chips and are topped with pineapple salsa, pico de gallo, and spicy mayo.
Currently, the pork nachos are NOT available on Mobile Order, so we had to order from the counter. When our food was brought to us, we were told that all orders are being packaged as to-go for the time being.
Considering the portion size, for just $8.99, you could easily count this one of your three meals for the day.
Honestly, it’s such a beautiful plate of food, we almost couldn’t bring ourselves to eat it (just kidding, we devoured it as soon as we sat down).
Kicking back and relaxing in Captain Cook’s while indulging on a delicious plate of pulled pork nachos is one of life’s little joys, ya know?
We’re definitely going to keep this in mind next time (and every time thereafter) we’re in the Magic Kingdom area! Stop by Captain Cook’s and order some pulled pork nachos for $8.99.

Okay so we were super jazzed that these nachos were available again, but… looking forward to it for ages, we went to get some Wednesday (9/16) and were told their supplier couldn’t provide some of the elements they needed, so they won’t be back for some time. We left disappointed. However, we tried the seafood AND Hawaiian flat breads at Tambu Lounge and those did not disappoint. Definitely a decent substitute in the meantime.
