Ah, Rise of the Resistance — we see you’re making news again!
We were reporting in Hollywood Studios today when we spotted something a little bit different about the way that Boarding Groups look in the My Disney Experience app. That’s right, we’re joining Rise of the Resistance’s Virtual Queue to check out a new update!
To enter the Rise of the Resistance Virtual Queue, you have to be ready to take your chance at 10AM or 2PM. Today, we were able to snag Group 18 right at 10AM. But we noticed a change when we were called back to the attraction. There’s a new button that says “View Entry Code.”
When you tap that button, you’re taken to a screen with what looks like an e-ticket featuring a scannable code. This is pretty similar to the way that MaxPass works in Disneyland so it definitely caught our eye.
Still, when we got to the attraction, Cast Members just scanned our MagicBands and not our phones, so we’re not really sure what they’re using the barcode for just yet. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this new feature so that we can get you all the latest updates!

Hi there! Do you still have to be inside the park to join the que at 10am? With them no longer allowing early entry I was curious about how this will work.
Thanks!
Amanda

Amanda, we’ve seen entry at DHS thirty to fifteen minutes before ten, and you do need to be tapped in to try for a Boarding Pass.

Thank you so much for that information!
