Staying at a Disney World hotel is not without its challenges for folks who take their coffee consumption VERY seriously!
While Disney World’s theme parks have a better selection of specialty drinks to get you caffeinated thanks to Joffrey’s and Starbucks, the same can’t be said for all of the Disney hotels! They pretty much serve just the most basic stuff at their grab ‘n’ go dining locations!
If you’re a self-proclaimed coffee snob with an intricate set-up back home (a.k.a. resembling a mad scientist’s laboratory), you like your coffee anything BUT basic! Heck, we’ve been known to pack a suitcase with our favorite burr grinders, French presses, and pour-overs to make a high-quality cup of coffee for ourselves back in our rooms and forgo the in-room coffeemaker (leave the Chemex at home — it’s TOO fragile, people!).
According to ESPN.com, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler had this clever idea too! He’s brought along all of his own barista supplies, but instead of just brewing up delicious cups of joe for himself, he’s slangin’ beans to the other NBA players with a Disney bubble coffee shop he’s running out of his hotel room!
It doesn’t appear he’s roasting his own beans (yet...) but a cup of his coffee doesn’t come cheap! Check out the menu he has posted on his door!
So apparently Jimmy Butler wasn't kidding about the up-charge for the use of his French Press at Disney. (From Meyers Leonard's Twitter): pic.twitter.com/1s1em6flRG

With those prices, Butler might be putting Starbucks out of business soon! “You can’t get coffee nowhere here,” Butler said to ESPN. “So I might bump it up to 30 bucks a cup. People here can afford it.” $30 to drink a cup of coffee made by a five-time NBA All-Star? We’d definitely support Butler’s side hustle!

Only took three pages of scrolling to find an actual post about food on your food blog. Well done.

A French press coffee maker isn’t rocket science. Heck, Disney store in Disney Springs has some. Any fool spending $20 for a good cup of coffee is wasting their money. No matter how much they make.
Suzanne Kindler says
I’m surprised Disney is allowing this! LOL
Paul says
Based on Jimmy Butler’s contract he’s losing money at $20. His contract pays $32.7m per year which works out to about $62 per minute 24/7. If it takes him 5 min to prepare a coffee he should charge $310 per cup plus his supplies. His target audience would still be able to handle it. Must be a labor of love, he’s definitely not in it for the money.

Butler is proving you can charge what ever the tide will bare, even if it is price gouging.
