It seems things are constantly changing in Walt Disney World.
Just yesterday, we announced that the new Cirque du Soleil show coming to Disney Springs had been delayed, and less than 24 hours later, we’ve discovered that the show has been delayed once again!
“Drawn to Life,” the new Cirque du Soleil show coming exclusively to Disney Springs was first announced a number of months ago. The show follows the story of Julie, a girl whose father was an animator. Julie finds an unfinished animation piece from her father, and, with the help of some friends, goes on a journey to finish this piece of animation, encountering lots of Disney magic along the way.
Since its initial announcement, the opening date for this show has been pushed back a number of times. Originally set to debut in early Spring of 2020, the show initially sold out of tickets for its first few opening dates set in March. Then, due to COVID-19, the show was delayed indefinitely. A few months later, we shared that Cirque du Soleil had filed for bankruptcy protection.
Some time thereafter, it was announced that the show would be opening in early November of 2020, and just yesterday, we shared that it would be delayed until mid-November.
Now, we’ve got another update! It appears the show will now be delayed until February of 2021! When we looked at the Cirque du Soleil website this morning to purchase tickets, it only allowed us to purchase tickets for shows beginning on February 10, 2021.
In fact, the banner at the top of the website indicated that the show dates currently available were February 20, 2021 to March 31, 2021.
For the dates we saw in February, tickets seemed to start at $95 each. When we checked on tickets for the opening night, it indicated that tickets at the $79 price were sold out.
Update: When we visited the website just minutes later, the ticket calendar showed that ticket prices start at $79 as opposed to the $95 it was showing before.
When we went in to check some individual dates, it still showed the $79 tickets as sold out. It seems things are constantly changing, so be sure to check the Cirque du Soleil website to see if the tickets you want become available.
We’re unsure what has caused this additional delay, but we will certainly keep our eyes open for more news about this and let you know what we find.

Does anyone know how to get. Refund? I purchased tickets for 11/15 and haven’t heard anything.

Sheila, I’m not sure how they’re handling it. You could try calling Disney to see if they know, or reach out directly to Cirque. If we find out, we’ll update!

We had purchased tickets for December 2020 thru Cirque’s website several months ago. Last week we called them at 1-855-473-7783. They processed the cancellation request and refunded the money to the credit card used to purchase them. They said they were in the process of canceling and refunding all tickets that had been purchased. Our telephone call just put ours at the top of the list.
