Walt Disney World guests are required to make a Park Pass reservation before entering any of the theme parks.
The reservations are subject to availability and tend to run out quickly for Annual Passholders. This is especially true for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The theme park recently opened the incredibly popular new land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the brand new attraction, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This has been a huge draw for general theme park guests and Annual Passholders alike.
Given that, the Magic Kingdom tends to be the most popular theme park choice for the holidays. Usually, the park draws in big crowds due to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
The Halloween event is canceled this year, but despite this, park passes ran out for Halloween at the Magic Kingdom. Now, Annual Passholders have moved on to other theme parks as their second choice. Hollywood Studios is officially booked for Annual Passholders on October 31st, 2020.
As of right now, Annual Passholders can still make a reservation on Halloween for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT. General theme park guests and resort guests can still book any of the four theme parks for October 31st. Disney occasionally releases more park passes for Annual Passholders so we’ll continue to keep an eye out if more become available in the future.

When will annual passes go on sale for 2021. Buying daily tickets doesn’t work out for us as we’re there for 22 days and crazily enough a 10 day ticket is only good for 14 days after first usage.
DFB Sarah says
Jim, so far we don’t have information on this. Hopefully Disney will clarify soon.
