Over the past week or so we have heralded the arrival of pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING, including the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew at Starbucks.
But Halloween may ALREADY need to watch its back, because Santa is looming in the shadows, ready to pounce at a moment’s notice. And if you’ve been to The Market at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort since the hotel’s reopening, you may already know that Christmas has quietly crept onto Disney World property…and it’s only August!
The Market at Ale & Compass is a convenient counter service location at Yacht Club, perfect for that on-the-go food stop on your way to the parks. They serve Joffrey’s Coffee at The Market, to give guests their morning pick-me-ups!
As with many coffee locations this time of year, the seasonal lattes are front-and-center. The Market at Ale & Compass is no exception. There are actually TWO seasonal lattes available on the menu. One, of course, is pumpkin.
But the OTHER seasonal flavor is…are you ready for it…? Do we have everyone’s guesses in?
GINGERBREAD. Yes, you heard us correctly. Gingerbread. As in, gingerbread houses that you build in DECEMBER, not (typically) August!
Does this mean Halloween is over already? Did we miss it? It’s not even Labor Day yet and we’re already out here sipping on a Gingerbread Latte!
Perhaps this is leftover from a Christmas in July celebration? In any case, if you’re feeling especially “jolly” on your next trip to the Yacht Club, pop into The Market at Ale & Compass and fill yourself up with some holiday cheer! The seasonal lattes go for $3.99 or $4.59, depending on which size you order.

So, I think two reasons. One … I know me and my group of friends are already burning our pumpkin candles and starting to decorate for Halloween! It’s been a hard year for everyone and I think we’re all trying to stretch out the holiday season just because it makes us happy. So I can see Disney/restaurant thinking being … it’s a small thing, it’ll cheer people up, let’s do it!
And while I sincerely hope this isn’t the case, they may be concerned they’ll need to shut down again at some point in the winter – hopefully NOT over Christmas, but with open schools already showing to contribute to community spread, along with flu season about to ramp up, localized closure mandates may start popping up again.
