‘Olu Mel is an adorable ukulele-playing turtle and the newest addition to the Duffy and Friends gang.
The cuddly cutie was first introduced at Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii then took a swim over to Shanghai Disneyland Resort. While we spotted some of his merchandise before, Walt Disney World is celebrating his official arrival with special treats and merchandise! We headed over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to check out the souvenirs and try the new ‘Olu Mel Soft-Serve!
‘Olu is incredibly adorable and he looked just as cute on top of a sweet treat! We found the specialty soft-serve at Pineapple Lanai, your one-stop shop for Dole Whip goodies!
The special treat is $4.99 and made with Lime Dole Whip (YUM!). The soft-serve is topped with a white chocolate ‘Olu, crispy pearls, edible flowers, and glitter. Ours came with a gorgeous tropical flower that made this treat truly Instagram-worthy.
Lime Dole Whip is one of our favorite Disney treats and it can sometimes be elusive at Disney World. It’s always nice when we can find it incorporated into a new dessert. The tang of the lime balances the sweetness of the soft-serve nicely. To make this dish even sweeter, the white chocolate ‘Olu was a nice way to finish off the dish and the crispy pearls added a nice texture. And what a cutie!
Take a closer look at this glorious treat! This delish dish shimmers and sparkles in the sunlight.
But wait, there’s more! ‘Olu Mel Dole Whip! Lime Dole Whip with a white chocolate Olu, crispy pearls and glitter! 🐢 pic.twitter.com/ktmFUtYylA

Do note, that this treat is only available for a limited time!
Welcome to the Polynesian, ‘Olu Mel! We’ll be on the lookout for more ‘Olu goodies in the future. In the meantime, we’ll be humming a Hawaiian tune while we dip into our Lime Dole Whip treat!

If Polynesian is not open the restaurant and snack stands are still open? Do you get there by monorail or can you drive?
DFB Sarah says
KraftyKouponer, we’ll look into this more as they begin construction, but since the DVC section is expected to remain open, we would expect some or all food and beverage locations to remain open. We will definitely confirm, though. Monorail will be down so it would be bus, drive (if you have an ADR), or use buses from Parks/Disney Springs or walking path from TTC.
