It seems like Disney World park hours are changing all the time!
Already this month we’ve seen hours shortened for all four parks and the announcement of the extension of hours in November. Plus, some days there’s a little bit of fiddling where a park will (seemingly at random!) end up with an extra hour at the end of the day. Now, some park hours have been extended for next weekend.Â
According to the official Disney World park hours calendar, EPCOT and Animal Kingdom will close one hour later than usual on September 26th. EPCOT typically closes at 7PM and will be open until 8PM, and Animal Kingdom typically closes at 5PM and will be open until 6PM.
We’re not sure what the reasoning behind this one-day hour shift is, but we do know that Saturdays tend to be the most crowded day of the week for the theme parks.

Harry Callahan says
Thank you great Disney overlords! Cut hours, eliminate or curtail entertainment, restrict access, drastically reduce dining and we are supposed to be thankful for a measly extra hour here and there?!? All of this after wallet draining price increases. Hilarious. Only a fool would pay to visit WDW now….
Mouseless and Joyless says
Harry’s correct…..
Someone in the Disney Public Relations department must be sick or missing.
We visited the parks in July right after re-opening…..never again will I visit WDW in this environment.
For the first time since 2004, I have no, that is zero, desire to visit Disney.
That is a $10,000 annual WDW lost from this family (and our savings I guess).
I hope someone from Disney is reading this because WDW has really lost the Magic!!!!!
We hope they care enough to restore what has been lost…..
Time will tell
