Like other Disney Resorts and theme parks, Tokyo Disney Resort experienced a closure due to the global health crisis. The closure stalled construction on some of the resort’s planned attractions, including one based on Beauty and the Beast that was initially set to open in April.
Japan lifted the nationwide state of emergency in May, and Tokyo Disney Resort reopened in July. After that, construction on the attraction resumed, and now it’s almost ready for guests!
“Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” officially opens on September 28th at Tokyo Disneyland! The new dark ride will feature characters and sets from Beauty and the Beast. And of course, there’s also Beast’s Castle!
Other expansions will also open on that date, including The Happy Ride with Baymax, The Big Pop, and Minnie’s Style Studio. However, the show “Mickey’s Magical Music World” will open at a later date. Tokyo Disney Resort still has certain health and safety measures in place, but nightly fireworks and parades have resumed there as of September 1st.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for other updates happening at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea and let you know what we find!
