Although Tokyo Disneyland’s “The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” attraction was initially set to open in April, the global health crisis shut down the theme parks and delayed construction on the ride.
However, now that Tokyo Disneyland has reopened, the attraction is set to open its doors on September 28th.
And thanks to Attractions Magazine and Disneyphile, we now have a ride-through video of the attraction! The video of “The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” shows just how jaw-dropping the attraction really is!
The animatronics are BLOWING OUR MINDS, and we recommend viewing the video all the way to the end, because Belle and the Prince dancing look so real that you might swear those are real people! But the whole attraction is just AMAZING.
Other attractions set to open on September 28th include The Happy Ride with Baymax, The Big Pop, and Minnie’s Style Studio. A show, “Mickey’s Magical Music World” is set to open later. Although Tokyo Disney Resort still has health and safety guidelines in place, the park also recently resumed nightly fireworks and parades.
There’s a lot going on at the Tokyo parks. In addition, Tokyo Disneyland also recently resumed character meet and greets! These meet and greets, however, do require guests to use an “entry request” system“ through the Tokyo Disney Resort App.
Walt Disney World hasn’t yet reinstated character meet and greets, but guests do get to watch a lot of fun character cavalcades (including Halloween cavalcades at Magic Kingdom!).
We’re excited about seeing all the new stuff coming to Tokyo Disney Resort, and this one is simply as breathtaking as the “tale as old as time” it’s based on. We’ll keep you updated on any other stuff that pops up at Tokyo Disney Resort!

Wow! That looks amazing. It actually brought tears to my eyes. Fool that I am. I sincerely hope that it comes to WDW before I’m too old to ride it.

Thanks for posting this video!! It was absolutely ahhh-amazing! I had chills, my eyes teared up, such a joy to watch! It would be a dream to see that in person. Wow!
Roz says
Absolutely amazing! Why doesn’t WDW have something like that instead of the boring Star Wars ? So outdated also is the Indiana Jones at HS. Time to get updated with better attractions
Mark says
Wow from me, too.
Megan Pepi says
Riding in a teacup? Yes please! I only need to visit Tokyo and Hong Kong Disneyland to complete my bucket list goal of visiting every Disney park! Blessed!
Addie says
Wow, wow wow!! This was so incredible! I think it is so amazing that even in another language, the beautiful message can be received by everyone! The animations were stunning too- especially that end scene!! Hope to see it in person some day or have it come to WDW!
Richard Mercer says
Me too Christine; how could it not?! Definitely have to go to Tokyo when this is all over.
Carol Tricarico says
We need a Beauty and the beast ride in Disney World!!! A favorite tale like that to be told in ride form would be fabulous!
Essie says
It looks so realistic. I liked the idea of the teacup vehicles moving in a motion that mimicked the cups gently floating. Tokyo Disney already has an awesome seaquest area with a submarine attraction. Plus, I wonder if they still have that old Mickey Mouse Review?
Joe James says
You buried the lead!! Tell us more about The Happy Ride with Baymax!!! Now there’s something that I could look forward to and make me completely satisfied with the parks.
