We LOVE getting behind-the-scenes peeks of the Disney parks which is why we are excited about the debut of the Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Disney+ series. This new show from National Geographic is all about caring for the Animal Kingdom’s incredible animals!!
Speaking of which, we are now learning that there is a NEW animal addition at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!!
On September 22, a new BABY female Masai giraffe was born early in the morning Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park!!! (Just LOOK at that face!)
This sweet baby was born to Mara, a Masai giraffe who you have seen on the reserve while Kilimanjaro Safaris! In fact, Mara gave birth to her first calf Jabari within Kilimanjaro Safaris last year!!
The birth of her new calf also serves as the second successful pairing with the calf’s dad George through the Species Survival Plan, a program that works to ensure responsible breeding of endangered species. How great is that?!
In the meantime, be sure to check out Episode 1 of “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom” now on Disney+ to learn more about this new little one’s family, including her grandma Kenya.
We are definitely enjoying the “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” and we’ll be keeping an eye out for when Animal Kingdom’s new bundle of joy makes her first park appearance in the near future!

We were there on 9/22. I know she’s not in the public, but it would’ve been cool for the safari guide to share the info 😞 Happy to hear all are well!
