Although Disney World reopened this summer, not every food and beverage location within the parks reopened. We are starting to see that change, though, as more places begin to open back up!
We’ve recently seen the reopening of Cinderella’s Royal Table, as well as Gaston’s Tavern, both at the Magic Kingdom. And we recently learned that Kringla og Bakeri Kafe at EPCOT will reopen tomorrow!
We just discovered that one of our other favorite snack spots at EPCOT, Sommerfest, has also reopened, although it’s only open on weekends for the time being. This is where we usually enjoy German beer with a pretzel or bratwurst, but for now, the menu is pretty limited.
As of today, Sommerfest is only serving pretzels, four beers, and two wines.
So we decided to go for it and got ourselves a pretzel the size of our head!
The pretzel is $9.39, and they give you packs of mustard to go with it. That was a little disappointing because we’re of the opinion that pretzels always go best with plastic cheese. 😉
It was soft, warm, and delicious, pretty much everything you want in a pretzel. We found the outside nice and salty with a little bit of crunch, while the inside was wonderfully chewy.
A Cast Member told us that Sommerfest actually opened last weekend, but just for one day, so today was their second day open. They’re sticking to weekends for now. We hope to see the menu expand to include some of our other favorites from there, like the Black Forest Cake and that AMAZING Nudel Gratin.
We’re keeping our eyes out for other Disney World locations reopening, so we’ll let you know what’s opening next!
Find out which EPCOT shop is serving wine by the glass again!
