If you’re in Disney Springs and you don’t have brunch plans for this weekend yet, you will in a second.
One of our favorite brunch spots in Disney World has a NEW brunch dish on the menu, and we’re pretty obsessed!
Chef Art Smith is a veritable wizard when it comes to Southern comfort, and there’s just something about brunch that really fits that cozy vibe especially well!
When he brought back his Rise and Shine Southern Brunch at his Disney Springs restaurant, Homecomin’, we were saying “Hallelujah” for the return of those biscuits! And we mean that literally, because that’s what they’re aptly called on the menu, topped with the chef’s famous fried chicken!
Now in addition to irresistible sweets and savories like bacon-topped House-made Doughnuts, Church Lady Deviled Eggs, and Short Rib Hash, there’s a new entree to sing “Hallelujah” over!
It’s called “The Hamilton,” and it’s the breakfast bowl to end all breakfast bowls. This thing reads like a rundown of all our brunch favorites, combined into one Southern feast!
It starts with pimento cheesy grits, which would be worth ordering in and of themselves, because they’re sooooo creamy and good! But Chef Smith layers this thing up like a cake, adding braised kale and collards, two over-easy eggs, griddled honey ham, two strips of pecan-smoked bacon, spicy hollandaise sauce, and crispy fried shallots.
Pardon us while we make a brunch reservation IMMEDIATELY!
The Hamilton is on the weekend brunch menu now for $20!
Just when we thought Art Smith couldn’t possibly outdo himself, he strikes again, reminding us brunch-lovers why we love his restaurant SO MUCH!
