If you’re looking to go to Disney World, you’ll need a few things including a valid Park Pass Reservation and a valid ticket.
Despite the fact that Disney has previously noted that 50% of its attendance is now made up of locals, much of whom are likely Annual Passholders, Annual Passes are not currently being sold.
But based on our conversations with Cast Members today, some former Annual Passholders may have the chance to renew or re-purchase passes if theirs recently expired or were canceled.
That said, it’s important to note that the Disney World website still reflects that Annual Pass sales have been suspended.
We also chatted with a Disney Cast Member earlier today who confirmed that Annual Pass sales have been paused and Disney is unsure of when new Annual Passes will be available for purchase.
But, if you canceled your Annual Pass this year or you have a newly expired Annual Pass, and you were not able to renew that pass previously, you may want to stop by Guest Services in Disney World or call the passholder phone line to see if you have any new options.
We spoke with a Cast Member recently on the phone who said there is no official policy regarding specific offers being made to guests, but Cast Members are evaluating each guest’s situation on a case-by-case basis.
Based on our conversations with Cast Members today, it appears to truly depend on the circumstances of each case. There’s no guarantee that they will be able to help you get a pass, but if you canceled your pass this year or it recently expired, it seems that some former Annual Passholders may luck into being able to renew.
To speak with a Cast Member about Annual Passes if you are a former passholder who recently canceled or had their pass expire, you can call (407) WDW-PASS or (407) 939-7277.

What about DVC members renewing there annual passes. Are they available to us?
Ken says
A sad state for annual pass holders. I live locally to WDW and would travel in and out of the parks on an almost weekly basis. Being unable to breeze into and out of the parks was definitely a plus for a local/annual pass holder. Now I am restricted to Disney Springs which pales in comparison. My life without Disney in my future is most definitely heartbreaking. Disneyworld was both the American Dream and Freedom rolled into one. I am devastated by not being able to get in and walk around.

Has anyone had an experience with redeeming an AP voucher?
I have one purchased through ticket leader and have just been hanging on to it (I have linked it to myself in my Disney account) but I’m wondering if I should approach them about a refund…
Ideas?
Joe+James says
Any word on when those of us who cancelled our Annual Passes will see the refund? I thought it was announced mid-September but it’s now October and we’ve yet to see a refund.
DFB Sarah says
Joe + James, you might want to reach out to Disney to find out. It seems like there’s a lot of variability with APs.
DFB Sarah says
Alexander, you’ll need to reach out to Disney.

My wife and I had canceled our AP in July and were expecting the refund mid September. Mid September arrives and no refund. My wife called and we weren’t even on the list to be refunded. After 3 hours on the phone, lots of holding, they figured out their problem and we were refunded within about a week. I will add that the cast member that finally got things straightened out was tremendous to deal with especially during the long phone holds because he checked back frequently to let us know what was going on.

My husband and my annual passes expired Feb. 25th of 2020 and with the pandemic I postponed until the last minute ( thinking I had the 60 days prior to and 30 days post expiration to renew). Then they closed the park at the end of day March 15th. Ugh… Then I was unable to renew when they reopened. I have attempted emails and talking with cast members about renewal without any “Magical” help even though the 30 days where not up when the parks closed. I am very frustrated that I cannot renew and the day pass pricing for the amount of days per year we enjoy going, would not be realistic. Please keep us updated.
