In case you missed it, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is set to going under a MAJOR refurbishment this year and next year!
The Monorail loop resort near the Magic Kingdom had its reopening for non-DVC guests delayed until mid-2021 so that guest rooms could get a Moana-themed makeover!
We previously learned that there would be some changes around the Polynesian during the refurb, including the closure of the Monorail station. We ALSO got a sneak peek of some of the concept art for the resort’s makeover! But today, we FINALLY saw some signs at the Poly itself that things were changing!
Construction signs have been placed around the lobby and the resort. The signs are themed to Maui and are placed prominently around entrances and exits.
Some normal entrances have been reworked to be emergency exits only.
There are also temporary walls and signs around the resort, masking some of the work being done.
Around the resort, you’ll also see signs directing you where to go as construction happens.
Though the Polynesian’s refurbishment won’t be complete until next summer, we’re excited for what’s to come! And as we see more construction updates, we’ll be sure to fill ya in!
Meanwhile, one of our FAV menu items is back on mobile ordering at the Polynesian!
