While some of us may have a pretty expansive collection of Minnie Ears, Star Wars fans might have a growing stock of lightsabers for BOTH the Light and the Dark Sides.
Although you can head to places like Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to build your own, custom lightsaber, other places in Batuu like Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities feature pre-made Legacy Lightsabers instead. These non-customizable lightsabers allow guests to become one with the Force carrying around the sabers of heroes and villains like Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu and more!
However, you don’t have to go all the way to the Black Spire Outpost to pick up a Legacy Lightsaber with your credits. While Disneyland’s Downtown Disney has received them at their version of the Star Wars Trading Post, Padawans and Jedis alike can head to the Star Wars Trading Post in Disney Springs to pick them up too!
The Star Wars Trading Post recently introduced Galaxy’s Edge merchandise outside of the parks in Disney World, so more guests have the opportunity to get their favorite items. Along with previous Lightsabers we’ve seen before, the Reforged Skywalker Lightsaber and more options like the Rebels Ahsoka saber are also available in Disney Springs.
After guests choose which hilt they’d like, a Cast Member will make sure that the Kyber crystal inside is working (even if you choose to be a part of the Dark Side 😉).
The Legacy Lightsabers can range from $129.99 to $199.99, depending on which character’s saber you choose to take home with you. In comparison, a lightsaber from Savi’s Workshop costs $199.99 with the full experience of customizing and building a saber in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
After seeing all the Lightsabers out of the parks, we feel like the Force might be calling us to choose yet another to add to our collection (should we go Light Side or Dark Side this time??). As you start planning your next vacation to Disney World, be sure to let us know your questions so we can help you find the answers you need to know!

This post has been updated to remove an incorrect detail about the color-changing lightsaber being available. The lightsaber currently available is the Rebels Ahsoka saber. Thanks to DFB Reader Brandon R. for the info!

Those are actually the Rebels Ahsoka sabers! Neither the parks nor trading post have the new Clone Wars color changing sabers. Was there last night!

Thanks, Brandon!

Yeah … call me when they are available online for people who can’t travel around half the world on a whim just to buy merchandise…

The Savi’s sabers are worth for the experience. I love mine. The legacy sabers are just as nice.

We will most likely be buying one of these instead of building one my 19 y.o. says 🙂
Julie Shuster says
Was this in Florida or California? Hollywood Studios FL has been sold out of Rebels Ahsoka sabers for a while.

That’s an amazing update for Star Wars fans! Thanks
