We’ve enjoyed saying hello to some our favorite characters (in modified ways) at spots like Garden Grill Restaurant and even Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Earlier this year, though, one spot — Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort — which has traditionally been a character meal, opened without Mickey and friends. But, that is about to change!
Disney announced earlier today that Mickey Mouse and his friends will be returning to breakfast at Chef Mickey’s on December 16th!

Disney has noted that the experience “may look a little different than the last time you visited, but you can still expect to smile, wave and make unforgettable memories with some of your favorite characters as they parade through the restaurant in their chef’s best.”

It sounds like this dining experience may be similar to the one we experienced at Topolino’s Terrace where the characters parade throughout the dining area and then stop briefly to take some socially distanced selfies with guests.

Reservations for this character breakfast will open on October 17th. Additionally, Disney Resort hotel guests can make a reservation up to 60 days in advance, plus the length of their stay (up to 10 days). We’ll keep our eyes open for more updates regarding this spot and you KNOW we’ll be grabbing a reservation as soon as we can to try the new character dining experience and let you know what it’s like!
