Ever since the Disney World parks reopened, we’ve been unable to hop aboard one of our favorite chill attractions.
The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has remained closed for refurbishment in Magic Kingdom for several months now, and we’re not set to see it open until late November. Now, it looks like the attraction is getting some work done behind the scenes!
The permit was filed today with Buena Vista Construction Company (BVCC), Disney’s internal construction department. It’s to “Provide labor, material and/or electrical for construction” at the address coded to the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
Typically, BVCC permits are light on the information since Disney has internal channels to share the purpose of the permit. In this case, the work may be related to getting the PeopleMover ready to reopen next month or it may be standard maintenance.
As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates on ride closures, construction, and interesting permits in Disney World!

Would love it if they were making this ride more accessible to people in wheelchairs.
