Hello from Southern California! We took a stroll around Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort recently.
And we found loads of new stuff. Are you ready for the update?
Downtown Disney Food Updates
Taqueria at Tortilla Jo’s
Although Taqueria at Tortilla Jo’s remains closed, new signage alerted us that it would be reopening soon! And we can’t wait to get our TACO FIX.
Marceline’s Confectionary
We were SO ready to try out some of the new Halloween snacks at Marceline’s Confectionary, so we dug right in! We started with the Magic Mirror Krispie Treat for $5.99. This is a Rice Krispie treat on a stick with a thin layer of dark chocolate.
It was basic, but it was also YUMMY. And, LOOK AT IT.

We followed that up with the Ursula Candy Apple for $12.99. This is a granny smith apple coated in caramel and then dipped in white and dark chocolate. The hairpiece and shell are white chocolate.
Caramel apples aren’t always the easiest thing to eat, but we thought this caramel apple was on a roll — it was seriously good!

Downtown Disney Merchandise Updates
Backlot Premiere Shop
The Backlot Premiere Shop is a brand new store that just opened. It’s located on stage 17, which is part of California Adventure that Disney usually uses for special events. To get in, guests wait in line on the far east side of the esplanade and then enter via a backstage area.
This store’s merch is mostly stuff from World of Disney, although we also spotted some park-specific gear! Right now, it’s mostly Halloween merch, and we expect that to eventually transition to Christmas.
Hello, everyone. We’d like to welcome you aboard the world-famous Jungle Cruise. Our name is DFB, and we’ll be your skipper for as far as we get. And we’re wearing the world-famous Jungle Cruise Skipper Hat that we spotted for $39.99.
We also found the Coco Guitar Ornament we previously spotted at World of Disney for $24.99.
Remember when we mentioned park-specific merchandise? These are items that we’re pretty sure you couldn’t get outside of the parks before they closed. First, we spotted some merch for the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction — check out this Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout T-Shirt for $24.99.
Then there was the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout Baseball Cap for $27.99.
The back has a cute cassette player logo on it! SO RETRO.
Speaking of retro, we are loving the vintage vibe of this gray Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout T-Shirt for $36.99.
There’s a retro white Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout T-Shirt, too! This shirt is $36.99.
ARGHHHH!!! These Mickey Pirate Ears are usually only available inside Disneyland. This ear hat is $19.99. Look at Mickey’s furrowed pirate brow here!
Even more pirate goodies? Yes, please! How about this gray Pirates of the Caribbean T-Shirt for $36.99,
And for those times when the weather is a little cooler, there’s a Pirates of the Caribbean Zip-Up Hoodie, too!
The back is SO COOL. It has a large version of the Pirates of the Caribbean logo. This hoodie is $54.99.
Finally, we found the Loungefly Redd Pirates of the Caribbean Mini-Backpack for $75. It’s got the Pirates of the Caribbean logo on it, along with sketches of the head pirates herself, Redd!
We are all about more Redd merchandise!
World of Disney
We saw loads of new stuff at World of Disney, too! As previously spotted at Disney World, the 2020 Sparkle Minnie Ears are ON SALE for $15!
We did notice, though, that there weren’t any signs about the buy one get one free sale we saw at Disney World. But $15 for ears is still a good deal!

We previously found Select Dated Trading Pins on sale for $5 at Disney World, and now we can report that this sale is also happening at Downtown Disney!
This is more than half off of their usual price!

We loved the design of this Men’s Yin and Yang Tank Top we found for $34.99. It’s so very zen with its Mickey-shaped Yin and Yang symbol.
Here’s something that everyone always needs (at least we do…because we’re always losing them) — MORE PENS! This Stitch Pen just makes us happy — look at that silly alien!
We know how far we’d go for this Moana Pen (as far as Disney!). We love the proud and confident look she’s sporting here.
Howdy, Pardner, this Woody Pen seems to say!
And this Jessie Pen is ready for a Rootin’ Tootin good time! The pens are $12.99 each.
Okay, get ready to squeal in delight, because we did when we found out that the Baby Yoda Headband had made its way to the West Coast!
Seriously, we’re close to ditching our Minnie ears for this! This is the way. The Baby Yoda Headband is $29.99.

We discovered some SUPER ADORABLE Large-Feet plushes, too! First, it’s everyone’s favorite reindeer. Check out this Sven Large Feet Plushie!
These plushes aren’t just cute, though — they’re also so incredibly soft. And we met up with some of our pals from Zootopia, too, including this Nick Wilde Large Feet Plush.
So you know we had to make sure there was a Judy Hopps Large Feet Plush, too, and there was! These plushes are $26.99 each.
In case you didn’t know it, Disneyland is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. And although most of the resort is still are closed, there is still plenty of 65th anniversary merchandise available! We discovered a new Disneyland 65th Anniversary Phone Case for $29.99.
We’ve seen the Coco ToyBox Toys at Disney World, but we have now also seen them at Disneyland. Here’s the Hector ToyBox Toy.
World of Disney also had the Miguel Toybox Toy! Each figure is $14.99.
‘Tis the season for wanting warm throw blankets to wrap around us while we sip hot chocolate and watch Disney+. And Disney has got us covered — literally! This Castle Throw Blanket for $74.99 has such beautiful colors!
But this Pink Mickey Throw Blanket for $59.99 is really pretty, too! It has a subtle Mickey pattern on it!
We’re a lot like Belle, and we love things like books and journals! So this Beauty and the Beast Journal immediately caught our eye! Look at this gorgeous stained glass cover!
But the inside is just as pretty and features even more stained glass artwork. The journal is $29.99.
Downtown Disney Other
New social distancing signage has been added to the main entrance of Disneyland, just beyond the gates before you go under the train tracks.
The screens at the ticket booths in the esplanade area now show a rolling slideshow of health and safety information.
These screens also show some general ads for Downtown Disney.
