Splash Mountain is set to get a Princess and the Frog re-theming at some point in the future, but for the moment the attraction is still running in Magic Kingdom in its current form.
We’ve seen extremely long lines for Splash Mountain merchandise in the past, but today the line for Splash Mountain itself was so long it had us saying “my oh my, what a CRAZY day!”
Ummm…Splash Mountain queue, you lost? At one point today we saw that the Splash Mountain queue had made its way past the mountain itself, past Golden Oak Outpost…
…and was headed all the way toward Adventureland!
WOW. These photos were taken around 3PM ET. We checked around 3:30 PM and the ride was at a 70 minute wait.
Much of the length of this line may be due to the fact that the line itself is now socially distanced, so people cannot all crowd in the same area as they once did. Instead, things are more spread out so guests can maintain a proper social distance from one another. So, even though a line may go incredibly far out, it doesn’t necessarily mean the wait will be three hours long or anything like that.
The ride may have also developed a bit of a wait, halting the queue from moving forward, as the ride is sometimes paused to allow Cast Members to sanitize the vehicles.
So, if you’re headed to the parks, always be sure to look for the Cast Member with the “Line Starts Here” sign and don’t be too surprised if you see them slightly farther away from the attraction than you may expect!

We were on a VIP tour yesterday and wanted to ride Splash mountain about this time. According to our guide, the attraction was down and that’s why the line was so long.
