We’ve just received confirmation that one of the counter service locations in Disney Springs has now permanently closed.
Wolfgang Puck Express
Located in the Disney Springs Marketplace, Wolfgang Puck Express served up a number of food offerings including pizza, sandwiches, salads, and more.
A few days ago, we noticed that the sign for Wolfgang Puck Express had been removed. In addition to the signage, the menus were also removed, and blackout curtains were added in the windows. At the time, we were unable to confirm whether these changes signaled an upcoming renovation or a permanent closure.

But now, we have confirmed with a Cast Member that Wolfgang Puck Express has permanently closed. According to the Cast Member, this closure began a few weeks back.

While Wolfgang Puck Express is now closed, guests can still visit the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill on the West Side of Disney Springs to get a taste of the celebrity chef’s famous cuisine.

We haven’t heard any news about potential replacements to fill the now vacant spot in Disney Springs Marketplace, but we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more information.

No! That was one of my favorite counter service places. The meatloaf sandwich was amazing. And one of the best values on the dining plan
that is SO SAD!!!! it was a GREAT restaurant for the quick serving dining plan. it was so tasty we went multiple times! what a bummer 🙁
Such disappointing news! Its part of our annual WDW visit tradition to eat their tasty breakfast pizza and we would typically end up going for lunch on another day. The servers were so friendly! The coffee was the best! Sad, sad..
My entire family is devastated. This was also one of our annual Disney quick service dining spots. They had one of the best gluten free pizzas at Disney and we never were disappointed with the food or service. We will miss WPE.

It is sad that so many of the old stand by eateries are disappearing. Our annual visit was alway to the Steakhouse on the main course at the contemporary for a sticky Mickey and the only place on property that had eggs Benedict on the menu. The Michael Eisner/Frank Wells era was the best times
What a huge disappointment. That was my family’s favorite place to eat, while visiting Disney. Everything was delicious, and the service was fantastic. I was always afraid they would change it to a sit down meal on the Disney Dining Plan, but I never thought it would close. It was always crowded.
Best for gluten free pizza! I was concerned about ordering because most restaurants use prepared crusts, but here you get real fresh made crust with a choice of toppings! My granddaughter ended up eating off my plate because she liked it better than what she ordered!
this Is awful, we ‘ve gone there since it opened, excellent food and staff. I m really going to miss the food& everyone there.
We come all the way from UK for three weeks and Eat at WGP express at least 3 times a week. Best value and quality food every time. Gutted
One of my favs! So very sad! HANS was a fantastic server! Would love to find him. Maybe he is working at another Disney restaurant?
I’m devastated. This was one of our favorite stops after walking through the Christmas store. We looked forward to a nice personal pizza and the friendly staff. I know this is not a Disney World decision, but probably from Wolfgang Puck Corporation themselves. However I am going to email Disney and alert them to just how many guests are really devastated that this wonderful little gem of a restaurant is closing! Sure we can go to the bigger Wolfgang Puck Restaurant, but believe me it will be more expensive and definitely not the same cozy friendly atmosphere. Heartbroken over this. And no, it was not expensive. It was probably the best and most economical meal you could get anywhere in Disney Springs and great prices too. Boy, will we miss them! Just another reason not to rush back to Disney World anytime soon.😟
So sad! We’ve been going there for years. Saw two renovations. One of our fav stops on our trips to Disney. Going to miss it. Not happy!
No fireworks, no parades, gotta wear face masks, TTA being refurbished etc and NOW Wolfgang express closed, such a rotten cherry on top.
My family is very disappointed to see it close. The food was so good, loved the pizza and meatloaf sandwich and it was our go to spot in Disney Springs for breakfast. The prices were so reasonable for such good food and service. His other location is very overpriced. Sad to see this location close.
So disappointing! We always ate here for lunch when we are at Disney springs . It was a hidden little gem. Quiet and inexpensive , the food was really good here .
This makes me so very sad! My family loved eating here and it was a must do every single trip.
I’m very disappointed about this. Every time I went to Disney World my day at the marketplace was lunch at the earl of sandwich and pizza for dinner at the WGPE. I love pizza but it has to b good and theirs was excellent. Then dessert later on was a sundae at Ghirardelli. The WGPE will be an extreme empty spot.
