It’s National Dessert Day today, which means we HAD to stop by Gideon’s Bakehouse’s current location for some GIANT cookie deliciousness.

We also felt absolutely compelled to visit because today only they were testing out a special offering that eventually make its way over to their Disney Springs location!
If you aren’t already familiar with this cookie conservatory, Gideon’s Bakehouse is basically heaven for cookie lovers. They’ve got a spot at the East End Market in Orlando currently, but will soon have a stand-alone location in Disney Springs.
Gideon’s Bakehouse With Its New Sign
Today, on National Dessert Day, Gideon’s tested out a special event they’re calling Hot Cookie Hour. If you stopped by between noon to 2PM (or until they sold out), you could grab a HOT Chocolate Chip Cookie from Gideon’s topped with a scoop of Bride of Frankenstein Ice Cream from Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream. The Bride of Frankenstein Ice Cream is made of Oreo dust ice cream, milk chocolate chips, Oreo pieces and topped with M&M’s and an Oreo dusting.

We’ll take one for here and a million to go, please. Having a warm Gideon’s cookie is basically like eating cookie dough. It was essentially an enormous, gooey mound of incredible cookie dough with ice cream. Was it (a) Spectacular; (b) Delicious; (c) Amazing; (d) A cookie lover’s dream come true; or (e) All of the above? The answer is very clear.
Hot Cookie Hour
The special deal may be over for today, but never fear! Gideon’s shared on their Instagram that Hot Cookie Hour will be a “special after daily dinner event” at their Disney Springs location! Someone is seriously going to have to stop us from going to Gideon’s every single day once they open. Actually, no, don’t stop us. Gideon’s cookies = happiness.
Gideon’s Bakehouse East End Market Location
Gideon’s has not yet shared an official opening date for their Disney Springs spot, but their latest Instagram post said to stay tuned. We will definitely be on the lookout for more updates. As soon as we hear when the gates to cookie heaven will be opening at Disney World, we will definitely let you know!

Different park, but the bride of Frankenstein at Universal’s HHN this year was VERY excited to see this and told Frank and the assistants that they must go immediately if they do it again!
I hope these people are ready for how insane this location is going to be. And cookies available for only 2 hours is gonna make for a lot of upset customers.
