This is Halloween! And that means Nightmare Before Christmas stuff is EVERYWHERE!
We’ve been doing all The Nightmare Before Christmas recently — buying merch, eating snacks, and drinking drinks, all dedicated to one of our favorite Halloween (and Christmas) films! We’ve also enjoyed seeing The Nightmare Before Christmas characters in the parks during the Halloween cavalcades!
But what’s this? For a limited time, Disney is bringing The Nightmare Before Christmas back to movie theaters nearly 27 years after its original release! That’s right! Jack, Zero, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and the rest of the citizens of Halloween Town are headed back to the big screen!
The film will land in theaters for a limited time beginning October 16th. For movie times and tickets, check out the Fandango website. Of course, you can always watch it at home on Disney+, too! Happy Halloween!

I guess this is what you do when you haven’t been able to make any movies for months and you have intellectual property sitting on the shelf that you can distribute with minimal cost and risk. And maybe tossing an old, dug up bone to the movie theater owners who didn’t get Mulan or Soul.
Me? Since it’s (at least for now) available on Disney+, I’ll just pop some popcorn and watch it at home.

Oh I took the Granddaughter this weekend to see it in the theater. I took her mother when it came out and even though I did not plan it they were both 8yrs old when they saw it in the the theater on t he big screen. Something they have in common and a sweet memory for me as well.
