Disney’s Cruise Line has had to deal with a whole slew of suspensions and delays in response to the global health crisis.
At this time, Disney has confirmed that Disney Cruise Line will be the last arm of the company to return as phased cancellations continue. The company has also shared that the cruise line’s upcoming ship, the Disney Wish, is delayed as well. Now, we know when we can expect the new vessel to hit the seas!
Initially, the ship was set to sail for the first time in early 2022. Adjusted for the delays, the Disney Wish is now set to embark for the first time in the summer of 2022 due to “pandemic-related delays at the Meyer-Werft shipyard in Germany,” where it is being built.
The actual structural plans for the ship have not changed at all. It is still set to be fueled by liquified natural gas, one of the cleanest-burning fuels on the market. The ship will be the largest so far with 1,250 guest staterooms.
Of course, we’ll be keeping up with the latest updates about the Disney Wish so stay tuned for all of the latest updates!
