All of the Disney theme parks around the world are now open and welcoming guests except for the parks at Disneyland Resort.
Governor Newsom has already sent a team to view the policies in place at Disney World, and soon a team will visit Disneyland as well, but we have still not seen a finalized version of the theme park reopening guidelines.
With no official release date set for these guidelines, and no opening date set for the Disneyland Resort theme parks, Disneyland has been continuously canceling guest reservations at the Disneyland Resort hotels. Most recently, all reservations through October 24th were canceled. Now, Disneyland is extending that and canceling all Disneyland Resort hotel reservations through October 31st.
As a reminder, Disneyland Resort hotel reservations are currently only available beginning in early November. When we looked at the Disneyland Resort hotel website and tried to book a hotel for a one night stay on October 31st, there was no availability at any of the hotels.
When we checked for a reservation with a check-in date of November 1st, however, there was availability at all of the hotels on property.
Guests with a reservation between now and October 31st will be asked to modify or cancel their hotel reservation or Walt Disney Travel Company package.
These cancellations and availability at the hotels are all subject to change in the future though, so we’ll definitely be on the lookout for more updates.
