Much like the shorter days and the changing leaves, nothing signals the arrival of the fall season quite like the Pumpkin Spice Latte. But what if we were to tell you that Disney World has a few seasonal treats that are SO yummy, SO iconic, and SO autumnal, that it would inspire you to ditch your PSL altogether?
Today, we’re giving a shout-out to five standout seasonal treats that we think rank right up there with everyone’s favorite fall beverage from Starbucks.
Pumpkin-spiced Waffle Sundae — Sleepy Hollow
Thankfully we can all agree that this first treat could give a PSL a run for its money! The Pumpkin-spiced Waffle Sundae from Sleepy Hollow is the undisputed champion in the 2020 DFB Halloween Snack Bracket, beating out some seriously stiff competition as voted on by our readers!
Maybe it’s because this sundae comes with two pumpkin-spiced Mickey Mouse waffles… . Or maybe it’s the simplicity in what goes on top of them (vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, drizzled with caramel and doused with seasonal sprinkles), but we think it’s the perfect balance between a classic Disney World treat and a seasonal sensation!
We look forward to trying this treat each year it has been around, probably just as much as we look forward to making our pilgrimage to Starbucks for our first Pumpkin Spice Latte! Cozy on up to this tasty dessert for $6.49.

Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake — Pinocchio Village Haus
Pumpkin isn’t the only flavor that totally rules the fall and Halloween scene! Disney World has a couple of stellar apple-flavored snacks that we made SURE to include in this list. One of our ride-or-dies when it comes to fall treats is the Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake from Pinocchio Village Haus!
This VERY eye-catching treat debuted in 2018, but noticably didn’t return in 2019! It’s not often we boast something was truly our FAVORITE snack we tried but guys…this was it. When we saw it was BACK this year we did an actual happy dance in our seats. This cupcake is a big ol’ serving of a spiced apple cupcake with pecan crunch on top hiding under a mountain of red buttercream.
We get it, pumpkin isn’t for everyone! The apple spice cake was moist and tasted the way REALLY good apple spice candles smell (but in a yummy way…you get what we’re saying right?? We don’t eat candles!😂). Plus the stunner of the whole thing is that pecan crunch goodness hiding underneath the frosting. It’s unique that it’s not IN the cupcake…it’s all sneaky hiding on top! It’s sweet and praline tasting and so so good.
If you’re in Magic Kingdom between now and Halloween, pop into Pinocchio Village Haus and pick one of these bad boys up for $6.99.

Pumpkin Whoopie Pie — The Market at Ale & Compass
The theme parks aren’t the only spots in Disney World where you can feast on yummy fall treats! The resorts also have their fair share in all things pumpkin, apple, chocolate, pecan…you get the idea.
Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, we fell head over heels for the Pumpkin Whoopie Pie at The Market at Ale & Compass. In fact, not only was it our favorite fall snack at that resort, but it’s perhaps one of our top picks out of ALL of the resort seasonal treats we had this year!
We’ll admit, there’s nothing SUPER flashy about this treat. In fact, it’s exactly what you would expect: a Mickey-shaped pumpkin cake with brown butter cream cheese filling with festive sprinkles decorating the sides.
Sometimes simple works and you just want some cake and frosting! The flavors work incredibly well together making this a must-have treat if you find yourself at Beach Club in the coming weeks. At $4.69, it’s the least expensive item on our list!

Werther’s Pumpkin Cupcake — Karamell-Küche
Once you’ve had your fill of the Pumpkin Whoopie Pie at the Beach Club, go ahead and grab yourself a Park Pass then walk yourself right into World Showcase and head STRAIGHT to the Germany Pavilion for our next top pick for fall snacks.
Karamell-Küche is already well-known as a caramel lover’s paradise, but did you know it’s ALSO home to one of our favorite fall cupcakes?
We would fully endorse ditching your Pumpkin Spice Latte for a Werther’s Pumpkin Caramel Cupcake. Brace yourselves: this returning favorite is pumpkin cake injected with that amazing fresh caramel you’ll smell them making there before you even walk in, topped with buttercream salted caramel frosting with fresh caramel drizzle.
This is caramel on caramel on caramel…with some really good pumpkin cake for good measure. You guys know we’re all about delicious Disney cupcakes through and through, so believe us when we say this is a dessert we 100% recommend you try next time you’re in EPCOT in the fall for $5.59. Go ahead and try all of Karamell-Küche’s menu too, while you’re at it. Judgment free zone when it comes to their caramel.

Poison Candied Apple — The Trolley Car Cafe
Last but certainly not least, we’re heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for another apple-flavored treat! This may be one of the lesser-known seasonal snacks on our list, but there’s no denying that this one is quite a looker!
The Poison Candied Apple at Trolley Car Cafe is apple and caramel mousse covered in a red glaze sitting atop a crunchy candy base.
This treat was extra bewitching because when you slice into it, the inside actually LOOKS like the inside of an apple! For a second there, we thought we had dropped nearly six bucks on a piece of fruit. Could have fooled us!
While eating your daily dose of fruit is important, so is eating your daily dose of sweets. You can find this unique dessert at Trolley Car Cafe for $5.99. This one is just SO pretty.

While you could totally wash any of these fall treats down with a Pumpkin Spice Latte, we think you will hardly miss the good ol’ PSL when you bite into these snacks! It breaks our hearts at the thought of having to say goodbye to these incredible treats in just a couple of weeks, but in the meantime, we’ll gladly return and eat these snacks again…and again…and again!

We tried most of these during our recent trip! My favorite did make the list though, the Fall Flavors cupcake at Gasparilla Island Grill! I loved the chunks of apples in that one. The Poison Apple cupcake was a little too much icing
