When it comes to visiting Disney World, one of our top pieces of advice is to STAY HYDRATED! Seriously, it can get hot in Florida, and it’s important to make sure you’re drinking plenty of water!
And although we’ve always suggested taking advantage of free water at the parks (because, yes, you can get FREE water), we found out last week that this has changed, at least as to where you can get that water! Therefore, we compiled a list of all the spots you can easily snag that much needed free water!
Disney World is doing what they can to enforce social distancing guidelines throughout the parks. So as of right now, free water isn’t readily available at certain locations that tend to have longer lines and get busy, particularly at specific times of the day.
So we’ve put together a list of where you can get free water RIGHT NOW in Magic Kingdom.
Fantasyland
Gaston’s Tavern
And we’ll start in New Fantasyland at Gaston’s Tavern because no one gives out free water like Gaston! And maybe we’ll just pick up a Cinnamon Roll while we’re there, too.
Storybook Treats and Friar Nook’s
And back in Fantasyland proper, we found free water at the following locations: Storybook Treats and Friar Nook’s (when it’s open on weekends).
Auntie Gravity’s and Lunching Pad
In Tomorrowland, you can score free water at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies to go with the ice cream you’re probably also going to get! You can also get free water at The Lunching Pad on weekends when the location is open.
Adventureland
Sunshine Tree Terrace
In Adventureland, we’re always parched after singing along with the Pirates of the Caribbean song (Yo ho, yo ho…). So we checked to see if you can still pick up a free cup of water at Sunshine Tree Terrace. And ya can! Water is the perfect accompaniment to that yummy Citrus Swirl there!
Frontierland
Westward Ho Refreshments
On to Frontierland! And we’re pleased to announce you can still get water in the Old West at Westward Ho Refreshments when the location is open!
Liberty Square
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
Back at Liberty Square, we’re going to pick up our beloved Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich, along with a free cup of water at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments!
Popcorn and Churro Carts
Both the Popcorn Cart and Churro Cart at the Hub also have free water. However, when we went to the Churro Cart, the water tab wasn’t currently working, but we did get a free cup of ice.
Main Street, U.S.A.
Main Street Bakery
Finally, did you know you could get free water at Starbucks at Main Street Bakery? It doesn’t come in the cute Mary Blair-inspired cup like the other free water in the park, but it’s still FREE. And it’s a much bigger cup! When we went most recently, a lovely Cast Member got it for us so we wouldn’t have to stand in a long line. Disney magic!
We also double-checked at Pinocchio Village Haus, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, and they all directed us to these other locations. We will continue to update this post as more locations become available.
Also, don’t forget that you can bring your own water bottle into the parks and use the refillable water stations!
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for locations throughout the parks to score free water and let you know what we find!
