Halloween is only days away which means we’ve been visiting the happy haunts in Haunted Mansion nonstop.
As we went through this spooky Disney attraction today, we noticed something BIG was missing!
Or should we say someONE! The iconic Opera Singer Ghost was missing from The Haunted Mansion! She is one of our favorite haunts to meet in the attraction, and we were shocked to see her missing. If you don’t know her by the name, you may recognize her on this Haunted Mansion Opera Singer Figurine! (What can I say — we don’t have any pictures of her so we found the best stand-in we could!)
A Cast Member told us that the Opera Singer is “out getting a little touch up and will be back very very soon.” In the meantime, we’ll be shopping all the latest Haunted Mansion merch to celebrate her return! We will keep you updated on when the Opera Singer Ghost makes it back to the mansion.

She’s been missing for a while. She wasn’t there when we were there in August and September.

Does any know why the Knight in shining armor (the one with the beak and yellow feathers on its head) has been gone for over a year now and replaced with just a basic looking one? It’s the one that stands at the end of the hallway with the floating candelabra.

I do wish dark rides like the Hanted Mansion were not quite SO dark. For many of us older kids, our eyesight deteriorates over time and low light makes it very difficult to see anything on the dark rides. I haven’t been able to see the candelabra down the hallway for a few years now, not that I ever saw it very well even when I was younger, but the scenes in the graveyard I can hardly see. I know I am not the only one in that boat. I don’t think a little more light here and there would hurt anything. The Imagineers worked so hard to make these scenes so interesting and fun to look at, but in these very low lights, it’s hard to see anything at all including characters like the Opera singer. Please turn the lights up a bit, Disney. Just a little bit is all. It would really help us older kids enjoy it more.

She’s been missing a little while now. We visited on October 2 and noticed her missing then too. Hope she returns!
